I was setting up my in-apartment workshop and looking for something that could hold my massive variety of tools but that I could also shove thumbtacks into on occasion. Walking around CB2, I found these spiffy boards set up really nicely with tealight holders, and realized "self, you can do this with tools and things." So I did.
I reinforced the adhesive pads that came with it to stick it to the wall (which would work fine for just about everything, but I have a cone wrench set that I thought might take my Takboard down with it's mighty wrenchiness, so to be safe I added some extra screws. Which, I should add, is easy to do, since this stuff is made of rubber awesomeness.
My workshop looks awesome, these boards are easy to install - and easy to clean. I can hang tools using nails, paper things using post its - heck, I can even hang tealights to add some romance and ambiance to my workshop.
I plan to buy about five more of these to cover one of my walls with tool space. I'll also probably end up buying them as gifts for people who, like me, hang just about every conceivable object on their walls.
Just buy one, they rock.

This is a cool product. Much better than a typical cork board. It is thick and hefty and works well with all of my pushpins. I can fit a ton of photos and messages on this TAKBOARD! Very easy to hang...

I purchased two of these for my office after my company purchased them for our conference room. They are perfect for those items that you want to display in your office (calendars, photos, schedules, etc.) and gives a nice 'tech-y' look. I've received several compliments on them and have referred all of them to CB2!

I love these tack boards. I searched hi and low on the internet to find something similar. Everything was to thin or cheap looking. Although these are a bit pricey the final look and use is perfect. I have 3 in a row above my desk- perfect for notes, inspiration and To-do lists.
This product looks great on the wall--a higher-end version of a cork board. They were also easy to install. The only problem is that the texture doesn't have a lot of grab: push pins can fall out easily unless you have them pushed in exactly the right place. I do love how they look, though.
I do like it and it looks great in my son's room. The one thing I didnt realize how thick it was!! Plus what they call mounting hardware is just a sticker (that says could damage walls) FYI .. so once its stuck -- ITS STUCK.
Love the look of this product. The only problem is the push orange people pushpins I bought to use with it don't stay in. You'll need a pushpin with a little longer nail. I'd buy another one regardless for the perfect size and look

I bought two and will need another to complete the visual effect so I will probably purchase a third at some point, however they will only be used for looks! I was surprised that no other reviews had this problem, but nearly everytime I post something on the board and then remove, small black pieces continue to fall out. This was not the durable board I was hoping for. In fact one corner had nearly deteriorated and that was not from use but out of the package. I simply mounted that side to the wall, but this was very dissappointing as I am all about function. Also if you lose too many pieces from one spot you willl notice the gap! Like I said I really do enjoy the texture it adds to the kitchen and will probably order a third, but heads up if you are looking for a heavy duty post-it board.

I recently redesigned my basement to be my art studio/workout area and I purchased three takboards for this room. I had some troubled wall areas that I wanted to cover up, and I already knew that I needed some type of modern-styled board for pinning up workout exercises and for an artwork inspiration area. I purchased these last week and they arrived very quickly. Upon arrival, I couldn't believe how lightweight they were and I loved the fact that they are a recycled material. I had no idea they would be so easy to hang with velcro-like sticky tabs, that made hanging them a snap and sticks them very securely to the wall as well. I liked the fact I didn't have to make any more holes in my walls. The color was perfect too, which happened to match the gunmetal gray colored carpet tiles that I have on the floor. Even though I knew how thick they were from reading the description they really are a solid product even though they are so lightweight. I was also happy to see that they are a made in the USA product. I would highly recommend these takboards.
i put one of these in both my boys bedrooms...they look really nice and hang easily. The only issue could be the sticky adhesive squares for hanging...not sure how that's going to be when the board is removed...may need some wall patching.

Love this! I needed a place to put idea sheets, reference photos, and sketches for pending artwork, and this proved to be perfect with its ease of hanging, size and unobtrusive background.

I now own three of these modern and light-weight boards for my huge collection of clothing tags! Since I don't want to mess with my newly painted walls, they're freestanding right now, but I'd like to place them on thin shelves with lips. Ideally, I would like to hang them from the ceiling to utilize BOTH sides of the boards but my office space is not large enough.

Was very excited about this purchase, purchased four to use in my breakfast nook to display my children's art projects. However, pushpins did not stay in the takboard material, they easily fell out and did not hold even thin construction paper well. The takboard material is very porous with lots of spaces which is why the pushpins did not stay in. The other problem with this item was the method of mounting. The website says "mounting hardware included," hardware is something very different than sticky tabs which can only be applied one time and rip the paint off of the wall when removed. When paying $50 per board there should be appropriate hardware included that allows you to move the item either on the wall or around your home for future use. I lived with these for a couple weeks but had no choice but to return them. I have ordered another item from the site, the tacktile message board and hope to have better luck with quality and functionality.

We bought two of these to hang side-by-side in our home office and they really pack a visual punch. Far better than your typical corkboard, the graphite gray makes everything you pin onto them really pop and the texture adds so much interest. I don't think we'll ever get tired of looking at them.
