I bought some of these years ago and used them constantly with great pleasure. I lost a few from normal attrition. When I wanted to replenish my set, I was pleased to be directed to CB2 by an artisan who uses them for custom gift engraving. I’ve always enjoyed the lightness of the glasses, and the amazement of guests who were almost afraid to use them in a normal fashion. The chill from a cold drink is refreshing, but not the shock of aluminum cans or tumblers. They remind one of the lightness of German Christmas tree ornaments. But in fact, they are not any more easily broken than the heavier barware that I also have, but hardly ever use. They take normal knocks in the sink and the dishwasher in stride.

Bought these glasses strictly on line and was really surprised to see how thin they really are. Wouldn't of purchased if I were in the store and could handle them. Already have a chip in one after a week or so. Good thing they were cheap because we will break all of these very quickly!

They stack easily, and have a great feel in your hand. They are made of very thin glass, but the material is strong and has a decent weight to it. They are larger than I expected, but, because of their airy quality, do not seem excessive or bulky in any way.

I love the look of these glasses. My mom keeps saying that she thinks they're plastic because she's never seen such thin glasses. I've used them for a few months now and have granite countertops, and I still have most of them. One broke somehow, and another broke after the boyfriend knocked it off the counter and onto the tile, where it bounced *twice* before breaking on the third bounce. These glasses are much stronger than they appear.

After reading reviews that these aren't made as sturdy as originally, I delayed a purchase. When free ship was offered I went for it but only ordered a few of Old Fashioned with the Coolers. I am SO relieved and HAPPY with these glasses! I LOVE the look, the feel and function.l I've been careful with them, not using the glass to push on the water dispenser, etc. but it's not inconvenient to take that caution. I will buy more to make it complete set. These are SIMPLY beautiful!

I love these. They almost make me want to have another drink, because they make drinks look so good. The feel light as air, but they seem to be quite strong. I've been using them for over 6 months and haven't broken one yet.

Everyone always asks me if I am nervous about having such thin glasses, but it is seriously not an issue! These glasses are just as durable as another glass, they are just really thin, which makes them look great. Don't worry - buy them!

Great glassware

Fantastic, stylish barware. We bought a full set of the entire series and are very happy. The glasses are very light in the hand while remaining more durable and less prone to breaking than some of our older, heavier glasses. It's part of what makes them unique, along with the shapes and thinness.

Great for cocktails, soft drinks, wine, and even dessert. We knocked ours around to test toughness and they passed with flying colors. Love that they're dishwasher safe! Delicate-looking, but sturdy, and so elegant in their simplicity!

I love, love the drinks at Prune. Then I realized that exactly one half of my enjoyment was from the glasses. So thin. So crisp, if a glass can be crisp. To echo another reviewer, drinks just taste better in these glasses. I have about 12 in various sizes and lengths, never broken one and they bring joy to my drinking experience every time...I've even hoarded up in case they ever discontinue them!

Love these, could easily be replaced at the price but no need as they are deceptively sturdy. Always asked where i got them. I reused the packing materials as gift wrap, was also asked where I got that, lol.

I looked and looked for 5 months until I found exactly what I was looking for on CB2!
These glasses can be used for everyday, evening cocktail. Thin glass feels amazing to the touch. I could not be happier. They arrived beautifully packaged for shipping and were perfect. These are much sturdier than I ever thought possible. Sold for life!

Happy that you have started to sell the thinner glasses again. The last time i bought them I was very disapointed with the thick almost jelly glass quality. I have just received a new order and they are the original quality. But i am sorry that you have discontinued the smaller juice glasses. They were perfect for wine and I would love to buy some more.

Great looking glasses

I recently purchased the Marta glasses to use as everyday water glasses. I knew they were thin and fragile, but I love the way they look. I have had them for about two weeks and today when I emptied my dishwasher I noticed that one of my glasses had a crack in the side. I thought I was being careful, but I guess something was touching it because it cracked in the middle of the glass, not along the rim as usually happens to glasses. Oh well, they are still really nice glasses and they weren't expensive. Just know that they require special handling if you are going to use them every day.

Ordered these with hesitation about a month ago, and decided to really put 'em through the ringer to see how well they'd hold up. Two were chipped upon delivery, but that's to be expected with any glass order. Aside from that, they've held up fine!
We hand wash and dry on a rack. Other, more expensive glasses from Crate & Barrel didn't hold up well to that, so I'm pumped that these do!
They felt delicate at first, but now our old ones feel heavy and clunky.

I bought these Marta glasses years and years ago when Martha Stewart first started her mail order business. The glasses are Polish and Martha is Polish. Then they were not available. I found the Marta glasses again at CB2 and I was thrilled to find them. They are delicate, I know. You have to be sure to put them in the dishwasher just right, not bumping into anything else. But if one breaks, they are so affordable, you can just bring out another. They are beautiful and feel wonderful in your hand.
