This console fits my dvd player, cable box, and internet router nicely. I do wish they would make one with a door so I could cover them up when I wanted to. The unit almost looks like it leans forward too. Maybe its the way I put it in.

I bought this console to mount underneath my 60" flat panel. The depth is perfect for both my DVD system and router, although there is no back-of-the-unit hole for cords and such, which I would prefer to the two cord outlets that are placed on either side of the bottom panel. Mounting wasn't too difficult, although you will absolutely need to hit at least two studs - this is a heavy unit. And unfortunately, the brackets that it mounts upon are not slidable, they fit snugly into the console, so some people may need to drill their own holes into the brackets so that she shelf centrally aligns under your TV.

Clever brackets

We bought this item to mount under our flat panel tv. Works great, although I am not sure how it would hold up if I could not attach the brackets to the wall studs. It does come with anchors, but I wanted to make sure it was secure to the wall so I ended up using a 2x8 and cutting it to just under smaller than the dimensions of the shelf and lag bolted these to the wall studs and then mounted the brackets to the 2x8. I finished the 2x8 by sanding it and painted it the same colour as the wall and it looks and works great. We have a bell PVR and it sticks out just a tiny bit. I think this shelf could be an inch deeper minimum.
