the cushion is almost like memory foam. the rubber caps slide very easily for moving in and out of a dining seat (push away from the table and closer). we used 2 instead of getting a bench for flexibility and comfort. working well!

The photo is quite accurate to the actual product in person — in fact, the cushion might look even nicer. Thinking about buying a second one!
