Looks great, but assembly FLAWED

Bed was delivered yesterday and it does look great now that the arduous assembly process is over.
However, the instructions provided (in box and online) CANNOT be completed with provided hardware. The long bolts provided would drill right through the exterior of the wood side panels if Step 7 was followed. This flaw required skipping this step and now bed is much less sturdy than intended because it is not bolted together. Cannot recommend this product until this issue is fixed.

Good bed

I probably would go ahead & give this bed 5 stars but for the crazy amount of assembly. We had just moved in & I ended up staying up til the wee hours of the night putting this massive thing together by myself. Seriously, it took hours. Unlike other reviewers, though, I had no problems at all with parts, instructions, or assembly. The other reason for not giving 5 stars is that I imagine it will be equally a nightmare to move the bed once we eventually do move into another house (i.e., will it require hours of disassembly? or the Incredible Hulk to move it sideways all in 1 piece?).
Other than that, the bed is great. Sturdy. Good height. Obviously great for storage when you don't have the space for another dresser. The chalk drawers are fun to label. Another reviewer complained about the drawers rolling out on their own. Ours stay in place. One thing different from what I expected was that the drawers are not on a track, which means sometimes it takes a few tries to close them all evenly aligned (which only matters to OCD people, anyway.....) The flip-side is that it does allow you to completely slide the whole drawer out to clean or access items, etc. Side note: We have a memory foam mattress which requires a foundation but we didn't want the bed to be too high, or have an unsightly foundation showing under the comforter. I had read the reviews about the squeaky bunky board sold thru C+B and decided to find another. I found a great cheap one at some random local discount furniture store, no problems. So overall, I would definitely recommend this bed - just make sure you have patience and a helper to put it together.

Good solution for storage & bed in a small space

Great bed; feels sturdy and solid with two adults sleeping on it. Love having some defined extra storage in a small apartment that doesn't take up any more space. My only complaint about this bed is that the drawers will not stay put together; the fronts keep popping off no matter how hard I tighten the cam bolts which is quite frustrating. Only other complaint is that there isn't an option for a headboard.

looks great, but......

the drawers were constantly coming off. My husband and i screwed them in a handful of times to no avail. We had the bed for a little less than 2 months and called CB2 to complain. The representative was pretty nice about the situation and had someone pick it up from our home. We were reimbursed the full amount.

This bed frame is nicely minimal and useful with its simple design and roomy drawers for storage. Pretty easy to put together, but the 6 drawers do take some time and the tool (allen wrench versus screwdriver) recommended in the instructions was sometimes wrong. And if your floor is slippery, the drawers tend to roll out a little.

redoing my son's room to last for the next 10 years (he is 10 now) means finding a bed that wasn't 'babyish' and yet was still fun for a kid. he will keep maps and science items in the drawers below and can label the bins accordingly. very cool and creative. quality seems good. i plan to buy this bed- right now still just test-driving it at the store

chalk on everything?
