LOVE it ..WE have this about 4 months now... no prob. with the shag coming off as other reviewers have said . I honestly stand and admire it every day as I pass the front room that we have it in.

I have had a couple of shag rugs in my living room but they always shed like crazy. Not this one!! Not at all! I'm impressed with thefeel, the build and the softness of this rug. It really is well made. I have two dogs and they are always "nesting" on the rug, digging, scratching etc.and not once has a shred of the shag come loose! I love it!!

Bought this for our living room. I love to play with my little dog and lay on it. It's silky and the different color combos are very pretty. Color is perfect on our oak floors.

Afraid to add color to your space but want textural variance? GET THIS RUG. It instantly warms a living room, and is the perfect accompaniment to my Avec tweed sofa, also from CB2! I have light floors almost the color of the rug, but I can see this would work amazingly as a contrast to dark floors too.

I bought two 8 x 10 rugs for my formal living room and dinning room. They are very close to each other. The floor under the carpet is natural limestone. I could not have found a better carpet for the price. The shag is long and soft. Don't hesitate to buy. The colors are just like the close up and the description. It is not solid, oat/linen/chalk. I am going to buy another one to go in my master bedroom. That is how much I like this rug.

Awesome looking rug, couldn't be happier with that. However, constantly having to pick up hairballs after two years has ruined how beautiful it may be. I tried everything: sweeping, cleaning, and evening putting hairspray on it! Good in a non-trafficked area, but otherwise expect a lot of hair!

Overall, love this rug.
The contrast in textures and color looks great against our dark hardwood floors. We put it in the nursery, and it's a soft spot for our little one to roll around on, and learn to crawl (by grabbing the carpet!).
The variation in color was a little surprising - "neutral naturals of oat/linen/chalk" means that some strands are oat, some are linen, and some are chalk - I was expecting a solid color.

Bought this a couple of months ago to furnish my new apartment and I couldn't be happier. The color and texture are great, it's easy to clean, looks beautiful on my wood floors, and was a great deal compared to similar rugs.
Highly recommended!

I really do love this rug. I have it in both the 5x8 and 8x10. They look great in a modern style living/dining room, and I get tons of compliments on them. My cats love them too. :)

CAUTION color, quality and cost of return

The rug did not meet my expectations on color or quality. it has a metallic sheen that looks cheaply made to me. It also is much grayer than a 'natural' shade and did not work well with the ivory and deep green in my den. Sadly, it will cost me $89 to return this rug...and that was negotiated down from about 140! Too large an item to risk purchasing unless you are sure you will like it.

This rug is beautiful AND durable! It looks amazing under our dining room table. We've already spilled a glass of wine on it ( oops ) and it came out so easily! This is the perfect rug for anywhere in a house and great if you have kids or dogs.

I have been wanting a light shag rug for a long time, and decided to go for it with the drake natural. It's totally great. Has a light silver thread which picks up the gray in our avec tweed sofa, it's very comfy, doesn't shed, and vacuums easily (just turn off the rotating brush). Our pup loves it too, and his hair doesn't show, so double bonus. The only thing that would make this rug better is if we had gotten the biggest size!

I love this shag rug! Not only does it look amazing in my sons bedroom but it is one of the softest rugs I have ever bought! Plus it doesn't shed!! Color is perfect. Still light enough to look great on dark floors but dark enough to hide all of the dirt. Love it!!

Shag Rug, that is. I absolutely love this rug. It adds the perfect amount of cozy & inviting texture without any of the shedding of New Zealand wool. It has 3 different types of fibers, in soft shades of oatmeal, light taupe and white. I thought it might be too dark in the store but in natural sunlight it looks really light. Plus, it won't show dirt as quickly as an all white rug. Feels great under your toes. This poly rug is the perfect bet for a modern shag.
