Brightens up my dim living room
Date:03/10/2013
I just got my lamp today. It was easy to assemble and CB2 provided 3 CFL bulbs, though 2 of them were broken during shipping. The lamp looks great! Like one reviewer said the base is rather large so make sure you have the floor space. You can't control each light individually but I was aware of that before buying.

New Girl Lamp!
Date:03/05/2013
I've loved this lamp for a while. I was pretty excited when I saw it on one of my favorite shows, New Girl. I just need to get Edison bulbs! Looks great next to my bar cart.

worked for me
Date:02/26/2013
I would recommend people to try this one out in store, if possible. In my case, it worked quite well. It uses a foot switch so you cannot control each head individually. The base is wide and the flexibility of motion in the heads is a bit limited. Perhaps it's best to avoid if you need the light in a very specific place. I really liked the charcoal finish.

Poorly designed
Date:02/07/2013
The shades are too short. Exposed bottom of bulb (CFL or incandescent) is too close to edge of shade and causes glare. Limited range of motion of shades; they cannot be adjusted for best angle of illumination for reading or general lighting. Tripod base has too large a footprint and limits the placement and rotation of the lamp.

Everything I expect from CB2. This lamp is well made and makes a great impression. Funky but sophisticated, it gives a center point interest to my room. Each lamp is very bright but can be controlled with smaller bulbs. I move my furniture and accessories around from room to room once in a while to create different looks and this lamp will look great anywhere, even in my large bathroom to create the unexpected.

I've purchased from CB2 before - including the Queen Alpine Bed - and have always been satisfied...until this Trio lamp.
Other lamps similar to this one have the ability to to turn each individual light off or on - this one does not; it's either all three or nothing. It was intended for a guest bedroom and I ended up not using it because you can't just have one light on for bed-time reading.
Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until I had assembled it and was experimenting with it in the room and my trash was picked up so I had no box to return it in.
I could have bought a similar lamp that's is more sleek looking and the lights are individually controlled for $129 at Lamps Plus.

Excellent light purchase
Date:09/10/2012
I am so pleased with this light purchase. The light is modern, functional (can change the amount of light reflected depending on the angle of lights) and provides excellent light for a dark room in the winter months!

This light gives off plenty of light and looks great! It would be nice if it had a dimmer, but for the price - no complaints! Very happy with this purchase.
This is a good-looking and high quality lamp. The only problem I have with it is I wish the individual lamplets (?) could turn further. For instance I wanted to point one at the ceiling, but it can't turn that far. But overall a great lamp!

I have this lamp in my office. I do like it. The heads can be turned and angled slightly, enough for my uses. I like the idea another reviewer had to have individual on/off switches for each bulb. That would be a nice improvement but.. still a great lamp. Simple to put together.

was excited to get it but it fell short of lighting expectations. The heads can only be moved so much so light is aimed in a fairly narrow area. Finish on lamp was beautiful and when off it looked great, just didn't throw enough light around.
Well made, good-looking. My only criticism is that the trio of lamps don't swivel all the way around (like I think they should!). It was a bit tricky to get the lights pointing just where I wanted them.

It's narrow profile keeps the space open while at the same time providing three lamps that can be adjusted to direct light in different directions. I had to replace the bulbs so that they sat deeper in the shades -- otherwise, the light reflecting off the white shade interiors was too bright when seated in other areas of the room.
My husband really wanted this light and I wasn't 100% sold on it based on the catalog picture. We went to the Chicago store and I really liked it. We put it in our sitting area (furnished in a mid-century style) and it works perfectly.
This floor lamp was a great purchase. It was super easy to assemble and will look good in almost any environment since it's got a slight retro vibe but is also very contemporary. I recommend using silver tipped bulbs since the bulb is quite apparent depending on how the lamp is angled.
