Such a great addition to our office--fill it every morning with ice water and add lemons, oranges and cucumbers for the office. Our clients love it too!
The VERY FIRST time I used this dispenser the spigot did leak, HOWEVER, it stopped right after the first use. Have not had any problems what so ever since the first trial run! It's like any new appliance--have to "break it in." Seriously, just fill it, turn it off an on a couple of times, and the suction around the spigot seems to adhere or something along those lines, and problem solved--at least in my case, that is.

I used this to serve a very pretty red wine sangria at a recent cocktail party and I received so many compliments on it! It showcased the fruity drink wonderfully and it looked so beautiful on my table! I didn't have any trouble with leaking. I did, however, tighten the washer inside the jar prior to using it and I made sure to test it by filling it half way with water. After a day on my counter, there was not a single drop.
A few minor issues: the spigot is kind of slow; and when the liquid falls below the spigot in the jar it's pretty much unattainable.
Otherwise a beautiful product. Love it!

I haven't had any problems with my dispenser leaking, and I've used it several times. It looks very pretty, both empty on my shelf, and in use.

This is a beautiful serving piece. I received it as a Christmas gift, and it was cracked. However, I spoke with Customer Service and it was a very pleasing experience. EXCELLENT! I will have my replacement soon! Thanks so much CB2!

I bought this container about year ago:
1) I had to remove the lid - it made the water bitter and impossible to drink; I replaced the lid with small plate, but
2) it LEAKS! I did my best to fix it and try the CB2's advise - does not work, I can't use it for its purpose;
3) Looks nice (empty) on my shelve though... may be it will be good for plants...

Way too leaky and an impossible fix.

I bought this product because it was beautiful and I thought it would be a functional piece. I was very disappointed with how leaky the spigot is. This site suggests tightening the hardware, but it won't help because the spigot is a cheap plastic material. Even with low amounts of liquid in the container it will leak.
This is an unfortunate buy, and now I have a soaked shelf. Do yourself a favor and don't buy. CB2 should definitely stop selling these.

I really love this dispenser. For the record, I am very stubborn. So even after reading all the reviews that says this product leaked, I still had to get it. Mine did not leak at all! I got great compliments from my guests!

Great styling, but cracked after first run in the dishwasher. Maybe that should have been obvious since the description does specify handmade glass. But, I wouldn't have purchased if I knew it wasn't dishwasher safe.

Great looking item! Unfortunately, I tried making sangria in it, and not only did the spigot leak, the base of it at the rubber gasket leaked as well. So now the entire top of my wooden bookshelf is permanently stained. Thanks, CB2!

It is beautiful design. We loved the look. Unfortunately the spout was not aligned properly and it LEAKED. No amount of Style can surpass Function.

pressure equals leaks

I bought this today and found that my initial attempts a filling it with water created leaks. I returned it and asked the sales clerk to test another container to see if the same leaking issue had happened. The leak gets worse as the jug becomes more filled with water. What it comes down to is this...the spigot cannot handle the pressure of the water. so the more water we put into this container, the more likely it is to be leaking. Nice design but not very usable.

We love the size and look of this caraffe for parties and counter top use. But it does leak and I had to wash it well to get the plastic smell off it.

This is a perfect container for my betta. You cannot keep the lid on, but it is beautiful without it (bettas need air). The spigot makes partial water changes soooo simple. Just drain from the bottom and add fresh in the top! No stress for the fish!

I read the reviews for this product after purchasing one for a friend. I love the design and wanted one for myself, but the second time around I did so hesitantly given the negative feedback. However, I'm happy to report that we have experienced zero issues and use this for sun tea and more potent adult beverages. I have yet to try sangria. We love our dispenser! It's perfect for summer parties or just making something refreshing to have on hand everyday.

I absolutely love the design, but it leaks through the spigot. The handle was turned off and the beverage continued to drip out. It was returned.

Leaks

Leaks from the connection to the spigot. Also no screen on end so it gets clogged easy, we use it for Sangria. Cool design though.
