nova dinnerware

black out. Dramatic rounds plate up a bold presentation that makes food pop in matte black stoneware with soft curved rim. All-black wardrobe goes with everything, so layer with whiteware, prints, metallics. -Porcelain -Matte black glaze -Dishwasher- and microwave-safe -Made in China

Not good, scratches easily
Date:02/13/2013
I have to agree with the first reviewer, while these plates look really nice they scratch very easily. After the first use of a bowl eating cereal the spoon left several scratch marks in the bowl. This is just from eating cereal, I hate to see what these are going to look like after a month of normal use. Unfortunately I bought a set of 6 of these and spent a good amount of money on a set of plates that I will probably have to toss out very soon. Terrible waste of money.

Resist the impulse
Date:02/08/2013
Purchased four of these salad plates as a high/low substitute to the coveted Heath coupe line in onyx. Four of these equals the price of one Heath, so I figured even if they were not the real deal, I could afford to live with it. I was curious too if porcelain versus earthenware might be undesirable, but on sight alone, they are very attractive. Size was perfect. The problem is that any fork scrapings leave very visible marks, even on first use. We didn't use knives, so I can't even imagine what that would do. Single use plates?? Next time I'll spring for earthenware.
