Comfortable as a bed, not sofa

This sofa is definitely more comfortable as a bed than a couch because it's on the firm side. It may not be the best option if you're planning on using it primarily as a sofa. We're using it in a second bedroom and love that it folds away nicely, making the most of our small condo space. It gives us the flexibility of having a bed for guests but also not taking up all the room for the majority of time we don't have visitors.
Once you get the hang of how to convert the sofa to a bed and vice versa, it's very easy to do. I've done it by myself several times.
We considered getting a memory foam mattress topper but after sleeping on it a few times, have decided we don't need it. People who prefer a softer bed may want the topper.

The tandom sleeper is a sleek, attractive, and practical piece. It arrived on schedule, although the crew really didn't know how to set it up. Once we managed to figure it out with the help of the photos on the web, it's fine. Converting it from couch to bed and back, however is not a one-person task.

The high density foam is of the lowest quality. It dents and forms waves. Even new, you can tell how irregular the surface of the seat feels to the touch. I slept one night on it and my hips and elbows were in pain. We are going to keep it but we will buy a good quality high density foam to put on top. We like the contemporary look.
