Very Practical
Date:06/04/2013
This product was very helpful in clearing up space in our small apartment. We bought one for each bike and they look great on the wall. We used our own metal wall anchors and haven't had any issues with the weight of our road bikes. Overall a great storage saver.

Looks Great; Difficult to Mount
Date:06/07/2013
Like many others here, I agree with the sentiment that this is a great looking piece. I knew I wanted it before I had even bought my bike. That said, however, it is a pain to mount. I knew not to use the included hardware, but even when I used a separate set of anchors, everything came crashing down about 20 minutes later. The plan right now is to use toggle bolts to anchor this thing. For a guaranteed lock into the wall, I recommend looking into toggle bolts. They're built specifically for heavy loads, and I'm not so confident in the strength of plastic anchors for a job like this.

Decent but not sturdy enough
Date:04/28/2013
I bought the wood bike rack to hang up my street-hybrid bike. My bike is a medium size frame where the top tube slopes down, and I wouldn't recommend this rack for that type of bike without some modifications. It seems better suited to a road bike with a straight top bar that's lighter weight. To get the rack to work for me, I mounted a wooden 12"x1"x20" board on the wall that spanned the distance between the studs and attached it with lag bolts. Then I got beefier brass screws to mount the bike rack to the wooden plank because the supplied screws seemed insufficient. With this setup, the rack is very sturdy. However, because my bike is heavier in the back, I needed a bungie cord to keep it from tipping and falling. In all, I am actually quite happy with this rack. It seems well made and looks nice, much better than hooks or a pulley system.

Best I've found for the money
Date:02/05/2013
Pros: It looks great. It'll fit any bike frame. It serves as a shelf for your bike pump or other accessories.
Cons: Be aware that if your bike has straight handle bars it may not be far enough away from the wall to accommodate the width of the bars, which means you'll have to deal with the front wheel turning outward into the space of the room. Also, I agree that the anchors that come with the rack are not suitable, this should be upgraded to included higher load dry wall anchors.
Tips: Since the wood is somewhat thick and the pre-drilled holes are small, the holes can't be marked with a pen/pencil while holding the rack against the wall, all while trying to make sure everything is level. I ended up placing a sheet of paper over the back of the rack, poked out the 3 corresponding holes into the paper, then just held up the paper to the wall along with a level to mark the holes. Worked like a charm.

No more hooks
Date:03/08/2013
Before finding this beauty, my husband and i had looked high and low for a good option for storing our bikes in the semi-private hallway of our top floor apartment. We had used hooks in the past but hated how far the bikes stick out into the space, tire marks on the wall, etc.
This looks great on the wall, gives a bit of additional storage, and allows us to display one bike above the other creating a cleaner, more organized space!

Really nice indoor bike rack
Date:03/06/2013
I was not excited when my boyfriend wanted to hang his bike in our apartment, but when we found this cool bike rack, I became okay with it. We just got it this week and I love it! It makes the bike on our wall look like an art installation. It's sturdy and I don't feel like the bike is going to come crashing down. Other reviews have said not to use the anchors and screws it comes with, that they're not strong enough, but we used them (in drywall, not studs) and the thing is so secure I can almost hang from it.

Functional and Attractive
Date:03/04/2013
I looked around a lot at other bike shelfs, and nothing else looked this good for this price. It was also very easy to install, and holds up great on my wall. It is like my bike is a piece of art on the wall. I'm planning on buying another bike in a few weeks, and I plan on getting another one of these to put it on.

Glowing
Date:02/25/2013
Perhaps because my bike is my favorite possession, but I find that this is my most-praised part of my Bedroom. it turns my bike into minimal, gravity-defying art and I simply adore it. also has room for my bike lock and shoes to be stowed away out of site in a nice functional group :)

Attractive and Functional

This bike rack is sturdy and attractive. It is nice enough that we put it in our guest bedroom to hang a special bike that belongs to our daughter. Love the fact that you have room to hold helmet, gloves, etc.

Simple and nice...
Date:12/11/2012
Great, simple and perfect for NY living. Only drawback is the drywall anchors they supply you with don't hold, i could already see the rack start to pull away from the wall. Its an easy fix and shouldn't stop someone from purchasing this rack. Go to the hardware store, and pick up a 3pack of the Hollow Wall Anchors, #6-32 x 2-3/" by Crown Bolt.

Practical and Aesthetic
Date:12/05/2012
I live in a loft much like the one pictured, and the wall I had designated for storing my bike is also in my main living space. This is exactly what I wanted, and completely meets my expectations. I glued small strips of felt on the inside of the cutout for the bike to keep it from scuffing my frame.

It does the job!
Date:09/10/2012
More than anything, I wanted something sturdy enough to hang my road bike on, and so far (knock-on-wood), this works! I hung the piece on a plaster wall about two weeks ago using the screws it came with.
While hanging it was a pretty simple process, I would've liked a longer, more thorough instruction manual and fact sheet about the product. I was (and still am) a little nervous about repeatedly hanging my $1200 bike up on such a relatively untested unit.
Overall, though, it's got a minimal, functional design I appreciate. I just wish the manual had done more to help me trust it. (Light bikes are pricey, CB2!)

Wood Bike Storage Rack is Great!
Date:09/10/2012
This bike rack is strong and sturdy with nice hard wood and a nice finish. The hardware included was the right size for the project of haning the rack. It has a nifty compartment to hold water bottles or any of that pocket stuff you need on a ride.

Simple and Efficient
Date:09/10/2012
We needed a bike solution because our condo is limited on storage, especially for something as big as a bike. Bike racks usually look really gaudy, but this is so simplistic and clean looking on the wall. My husband may have had some work mounting it, but it's secure and hasn't given us any worry of falling off the wall.

Don't trust the screws it comes with!
Date:08/26/2012
The rack itself, once installed is fantastic, and saves space, however the screws and anchors they supply are completely inadequate! I secured the center to the stud, and actually used my own metal drywall anchors on the two corners, and after putting bike up, it lasted about ten minutes before it pulled right out of the wall. I had to go back and use heavy duty anchors and a lag bolt attached to the stud, and it worked great. Again, it works when secured correctly, but BEWARE of the screws it comes with...they will not work!
