worst purchase ever
Date:08/25/2012
I normally do not write a review, but do not purchase this item. It's a unique looking spoon, but the quality does not match the description. The wood is heavily stained to cover flaws and gives out a nasty odor. I'm returning the spoons and server. Too expensive for the quality of the product.

Rustic and pretty but not good quality
Date:07/22/2012
Got two of the spoons; one was very different from the other in size and weight, but I thought, okay, there's a rustic appeal here, no problem. So I rinsed them off thinking I would use them to serve a salad, but as soon as the water hit them and I began gently washing them, the wood started to crumble away at the tops of the spoons, is if it were soft or rotting. Also, the wet wood began to emit a very strong camphor-like odor, which was unpleasant. I am returning them less than a day after receiving them.
