These are gorgeous placemats--we have had them for about three weeks and I absolutely love them. We have received many compliments on them, and love the way they look on our Parsons dining table.
I was nervous about washing these placemats because they have such clean lines to them, but I threw them in my washing machine and used the hand wash cycle and they came out sparkling and just like new. After air drying, they were ready to go--no hand-washing or ironing needed.

I purchased this product in block and in plaid.
The label clearly states, "Machine washable,"
I washed one placemat by hand, and the design started to peel off!
