I bought this bed for my son and absolutely love it--wish I had gotten one for myself! Assembly was easy and the bed is solid. It looks fantastic. You will not find a better bed for the money.

Cons: Slightly too low profile/headboard
If they made the legs and headboard just slightly taller, then this bed would be perfect. I personally don't mind the height, but it is pretty low.

This bed is exactly what I have been looking for! My room has very low ceilings, and I wanted a very minimal, simple design. The wood is beautiful and makes a huge statement without being overly ornate, while the bed is low to the ground but solid as a rock! The delivery team brought the piece into the house and assembled it exactly where I wanted it... in just a few minutes!

Beautiful Modern Low Look

This is a beautiful bed. Like many commenters have said, the wood is beautiful and smoother than I thought it would be from the pictures online. The delivery was also excellent - they arrived well within the delivery window, and the installation only took 15 minutes at the most.
I purchased this online and couldn't find the exact specs for the height of the platform. On mine, the gap between the floor and the bottom of the frame is 4" and the mattress rests on planks that elevate the mattress 7" off the ground. I have a taller-than-normal mattress, and two pillows stacked on top of the mattress cover most of the headboard.
To me, nothing about this looks too low in person, but I had to wait to see if my nightstands would be too tall until I got the bed set up in my house.
I love the bed, and I would definitely recommend it.

We actually bought 3 queen size Dondra beds for a new shore house. The beautiful wood, low profile, platform style is perfect for a seashore decor. The quality far surpasses the price. Delivery was punctual and the men were very careful with our home when setting up the beds and discarding the packing material. My only suggestion is for CB2 to offer more end table options. Metal does not hold up well in a salt air environment so wood end tables would be perfect! I chose these beds on line but was able to visit a store to see them in person and lay down to check comfort.

My fiance and I bought this after a long and laborious search. It's amazing how hard it is to find a simple bed that is well built. The wood quality and the finish are very well elegant and assembly is extremely easy. We love our bed and would recommend it to anyone. We had it delivered and the CB2 service was exactly on time if not a little early. This beats waiting around for hours like you have to for the cable guy. Another huge plus was Sunday delivery. I was not expecting this and found it to be a great convenience.

I have been looking for a new bed for about two months. I have looked everywhere and stayed patient, and I must say for the price that you pay for this bed you can not, at least in Toronto, get a bed of equal quality, workmanship and style. This bed, as with so many of the other items at CB2, is a work of art. I highly recommened this bed

This bed is simple and very beautiful. We bought it in the King size, and the friendly CB2 crew put it up for us. The wood is smooth and looks gorgeous. The bed is lower than any bed we had before, so this is something to keep in mind if you don't like very low beds. We love it, and it is very 'dog friendly' at this hight! :)

Just what I was looking for... something that would look amazing but wasn't begging to be looked at. This is a very low profile piece, but once noticed, is warm and refined. Really pleased with the quality and appearance and would definitely recommend.

This is just the bed frame I've long been searching for: low platform, no box spring, horizontal plank head- board, sustainable wood.. Beautiful, but less is more: please offer it in FULL size, not just queen or king...

I really liked this bed, the look, the quality, etc. However, the headboard is SO low that once our bedding was on there, you couldn't see any of it. I decided it was too much to spend on a bed that you literally couldn't see. I wanted a low headboard, but it turns out this was just too low. I guess it depends on your mattress height (we also added a bunky board). Also, there is a gap between the head of the mattress and where the headboard angles away, which I found to be inconvenient.

This is a sturdy, low platform bed. I love the wood. My only wish is that is came in a taller height. I know that many reviewers like this low profile, but this bed practically sits on the floor. I also wish it had a matching nightstand.

Could not be happier with this bed for my first apartment! Solid construction and definitely well worth the price. Like many of the other reviewers, I find the wood to be very smooth and gorgeous. I was worried that knots would appear on the headboard frequently but there are none that stand out to me. The delivery guys assembled the bed and set it up where I wanted. I purchased two Proof Nightstands for the sides of the bed and the Latitude low dresser and their height is perfect. I hope this bed will last many years!
