Great product
Date:03/05/2013
I love this media console! My 32' flat screen TV fits nicely on top of it, but it's big enough that I can easily upgrade to a larger TV in the future. The drawers are not that big, but there's plenty of space to hold all my work-out DVDs. The wood grain is definitely unique, but I love that it is so varied in color because it works well with everything else in my room. I purchased the John floor lamp and Foundry C table, as both of those are in the same iron finish as the "legs" of this console.

gorgeous but...
Date:03/04/2013
This TV console is beautiful, we love the look. However, it's not convenient as the back is completely covered. You have to put some effort to pass the cables. And, there is no cable storage. They could provide cable storage with slightly shorter drawers. I would still recommend though. It's beautiful, and you just need to set up once.

Love it
Date:12/12/2012
I just received the prime media console and I love it. It is even better in person. Not sure what the earlier reviewer was talking about with regards to "weird wood." It is made of a natural wood with a strong grain, so I think it is rather unrealistic to expect a uniform looking wood grain. I think it adds character to the piece and helps it stand out from all of the other boring media consoles out there.

Nice tv console with weird wood
Date:08/21/2012
The console arrived in good condition. It is the perfect size for my TV room. Additionally I have the coffee table that matches the base metal and they compliment each other nicely. I was, however, disappointed by the wood. The front two drawers have very strang grains on them that absolutely do not correlate. It looks like two completely different woods. It's annoying because it not only looks strange, but its the first thing people comment on when they walk in the room. With CB2 everything always looks great and functions fine, but it's an absolute gamble on the quality of the wood for any given piece.

Simple, Solid-Wood Piece
Date:08/30/2012
I realized after comparing a few media consoles that solid wood consoles do not come cheap. However, I do believe the Prime Media Console is a good value with its smooth wood and solid craftsmanship.
I ordered the console over the phone from my local CB2 after seeing it in store once and picked it up at the store. It was a pleasant surprise that the unit came fully assembled in its cardboard box.
The color is a lighter, golden-brown. The drawers are well-assembled and glide easily. The back of the unit is solid wood as well and it would look great if you decided to float the unit in a room. The wires from your cable box/DVD player are directed to slots that come out under the bottom of the drawers and are relatively well concealed.
Compared to a few other consoles that I've seen, this unit has a simple design (no frills), but it suits a modern living space well. I currently have a 42" TV on it, but the stand looks like it could easily accomodate something larger well.
