From literal landscapes to metaphorical inspirations, the resulting collection "A raison a" ("reason") beautifully demonstrates Legendre's free, energetic and often humorous portrayals of his worldview. Once established in his new Chicago studio, Legendre revisited the Arizona series, adding saturated colors from his memories of the desert landscape.
