Gorgeous BUT the buttons pop off

I love the textile color and design of this sofa, but I really should have listened to other reviewers. We have had this sofa for less than a month and the buttons are constantly popping off (one area of the cushion has totally lost its indentation). There are just two of us using the sofa (no kids, no pets) so it isn't as if there has been an unusual amount of wear and tear (the opposite if anything). It really impacts the look of the sofa once a given button has come off more than once. I'm very disappointed that the quality isn't better, and at this rate it seems unlikely that the couch will last very long at all.

buttons off in 3 weeks

This couch set was delivered on 10/19/2012 and already has lost one button on each side. I am single and this is not a heavily used piece of furniture by any means.

tufting nightmare

got the couch and within hours one of the buttons on the tufting popped off!! i had looked at reviews on here and it seemed like the problem had been fixed...apparently that is not the case. cb2 was understanding and offered to replace the cushion but after a couple days of trying to not pop another button we decided to return the whole thing. couch looks great, but is just poor quality.

Don't buy this, the buttons fall off

We bought this sectional because of it's ability to change from right to left side and we liked the way it looked. I read the reviews online about the buttons falling off but some of the more recent reviews said the problem had been fixed and when I called CB2 they also said the problem had been fixed.
We had the sectional for only a few weeks before the first button fell off. CB2 was great, replaced the cushion and within a week another button fell off. Customer service has been lovely but we are returning the sectional for a full refund and thoroughly annoyed as we now need to find a new sectional for our den.

This sectional is absolutely beautiful and feels well made in addition to being very comfortable.
My only complaint is that the buttons tend to pop up very easily and generally pop back in very easily but the very nature of them popping up is a nuisance.
All in all its a great sofa- would purchase again despite it being on the expensive end of things in its class.

Nice design, poor manufacturing

I bought this sectional in early August and it was delivered in early September (the sales guy had told me it would take about a month due to strong demand). After it was delivered, however, I noticed wringles in the couch cushion. CB2 offered to replace it, but when the replacement cushion arrived in early October, it was even worse. I can only assume it's a matter of poor manufacturing (the chaise cushion is much better, with the fabric fitting tightly around the foam). It feels like a bait in switch: the pictures in the catalog and online show cushions that look good and the sectional in the store looked good, but what I got is not. Very disappointing, because it's a great design and I'm told it's comfortable (I use a wheelchair so I don't sit on it, which makes the appearance of the cushion even more irritating). The sales people also were nice; too bad the product they sell doesn't match their helpfulness.

Buttons fall off!!

Purchased in March 2012. Six months later, six buttons have fallen off and a bunch more are loose. They come loose at the slightest pressure (just from sitting on the couch), presumably because the tufting is extremely bad quality (tufting is when the buttons on the top and the bottom of the cushion are sewn together, creating a dimple in the cushion). It's a shame, because otherwise it's a great couch--nice fabric, sleek low profile, not too big for most spaces, and comfortable too.

I just visited a CB2 store here in Chicago and talked with a sales associate. She insists that the issue on the buttons has been completely addressed by the manufacturer and will no longer be a problem. The fabric is slightly different now as well from the previous version (less felt like and more fabric like.) We'll see if this upgrade holds up over time.

I am in love with this couch! The chaise is super comfortable, the back cushion is the perfect height to rest your head on. Love the style - a contemporary shape in a great neutral color. I paired it with the color field rug and it looks amazing! Note that the fabric is textured, almost like a tweed. Like other reviewers I have noticed that some of the buttons feel a bit loose, but none have popped off yet. I have had the couch for 1 month.

The starring role in my little apartment

I purchased the dual pebble sectional after seeing the great display on the floor of the Santa Monica store. They showed it with these colorful pool and chartreuse pillows which were the perfect pop of color on the neutral sofa. I bought those and the lucent nesting tables which coordinated perfectly with the sofa. It is the focal point in my apartment and I couldn't be happier with its design and comfort!

Let's see if it holds up

I purchased this sectional on August 6, but it wasn't delivered until September 8 because it was back-ordered (they told me at the store it was unexpectedly popular), so my use of it is limited. Good if you want a firm seat, nice long chaise section. Generally looks good, but one of the seat cushions shows more wrinkles than the other, which makes me wonder how well it's made and how well it will hold up (I also wonder if they rushed production due to the back-orders). I bought the clamps that hold the three sections together, and the delvery guys put it together quickly. The clamps seemed like a must given that I have hardwood floors.

I looked for the perfect couch for a very long time, and I fell in love with the design of this sectional. However, after only 2 months of owning this piece, TWO buttons have popped completely off! There are only 2 adults using this sectional, so it's not like it is being abused. I was also going to make a comment about the individual pieces moving away from each other, but I see from someone else's comment that there are clamps available. Not sure why these don't come standard with the sectional, but they should. Overall, design = A++, quality = F

I REALLY love this couch. I love the fabric, I love the size, the design is amazing and the fact that you can change the sectional location is genius! I even waited two and a half months for it to come in from being back ordered. Unfortunately...the buttons fall off :( We had it 3 days and it started happening. I made sure to tell everyone to be extremely careful because I had read that this was happening, so I was heartbroken when it happened. And they don't just simply pop back in either so we're not quite sure how to fix it.
Other than the button issue, it's a great couch. But it's not like it's a cheap couch, so having the buttons come off is pretty awful :(

i just got this couch, and i love it! so comfortable. and the color is really nice. obviously the fact that you can switch left to right is super convenient.
only thing is i do wish it came with clips to hold it together... it does shift around quite a bit.
but all in all, great purchase!

I love its functionality and retro style. The fabric is a fantastic grey tweed. The only thing I would keep in mind is that it sits a bit low. My previous couch had a higher back and was higher off the floor so I had to get used to the feel of this one. Regardless, I am loving this purchase!

Bought this for my basement. Fit down the tight L shaped stairway easily. Yet in space fit well and very roomy. Liked how the chaise is able to flip from one side to the other. Makes it easy to not worry about fitting in space.

this is a good couch. this couch was on backorder for a while because the buttons were popping off and i was told the manufacturer was fixing the issue but so far i've had 1 fall off and another is on it's way off as well. we do not tug on them so we're not sure why they're popping off so easily. once the button pops off, the couch looks uneven since it a "tuft" type couch.

I was interested in the sofa when it was first released, but felt that the fabric was too dark and I did not want a felted wool finish. Then, it was reintroduced with a lighter and stronger fabric, so I snapped one up. No regrets...
The service was great, delivery fast and courteous, and I am very pleased. Great piece!
