the back is where it's at. Hi-concept slipper chair by designer Federico Churba is a looker from the front, a stunner from the back. Exaggerated proportions in natural linen-y weave play low, thick seat opposite svelte angled back. But like a many a daring fashion, the thrill is in the reveal. Sculpted ash wood frame cradles the back in a continuous loop that intersects beneath, suspending the design's imagination. Churba named the chair Banquina (Spanish for "shoulder of the road") in reference to transit guardrails that provide safe journey. Great looking chair

I bought two of these chairs for my beach house. I love the way they look. The wood frame is a detail that makes these chairs great. They are very firm and not the most comfortable. I'm ok with that because they look so good. They would be a 5 if they were comfortable.

A classic in the making

I predict that this chair will become a modern classic. The design is clean and eyecatching with its very nice oak frame cradling the back and crossing underneath. The upholstery workmanship is impeccable, although it is not a cushy chair by any means, though fine for a conversation grouping. Put it in a spot where the back can be admired as much as the front. Customer service was most helpful as I am not located near any CB2 store.

This is an absolutely high end chair for a low end price. Beautiful clean lines, comfortable, chic.
It could pass for a very expensive designer chair.

i purchased 2 so I could put them side by side for a banquette, or use them separately. the color is lighter than it appears on screen or via the cloth sample that was provided but it still works. it is firm and a great piece for my living room for those days extra company comes by. goes with everything.

True to Picture

Chair is true to picture - great size, form, color. It is not a soft chair, in fact, it is very firm so don't expect to sink into it. Also the back is not high so you can't lean your head against it. Despite that, it fits my decor perfectly and is a good seat for conversation. Delivery was on time and convenient.
