baja red bench
big red. Hot new trend from Milan. Super saturated red pops on spare span of sustainable plantation-grown mango wood. Hand-brushed strokes shade varied gradations, exaggerating the natural wood grain. Other bright details: rounded corners echo legs, clear lacquer lends a slight sheen. Definitely for dining, but also think front hall, foot of bed. Novogratz Fave: "We love this really bold color. If you don't have a lot of color in a room, this could be the one piece that brings the room together. Cool bench!

I was looking for a narrow bench to place near the main entry door in my condo. I don't have a foyer -- just a long hallway -- and this bench managed to create a feeling that there was a true entry area to put on/take off shoes, drop grocery bags, etc. I even have a big oil painting propped up on it right now and it looks great! I don't have a lot of red in my place -- so this stands out. It is not "bright" in my opinion -- but it is "bold". It looks both rustic and modern (with a Scandinavian or Japanese vibe at the same time!!). Could make it work with any type of decor. I like the texture on the top of the bench. Great value for price.

My family and I live in tiny quarters but that doesn't mean our space can't be fun! This bench is perfect for extra seating, serves as a table and adds a happy punch of color! We love it!

wood ?

Got this bench today, easy to set-up, looks cool, but I would be shocked if it is wood. Does not really look or feel like wood. Maybe mango wood never looks/ feels like wood but don't buy expecting a wood plank- to me it seems more like wood textured metal or composite especially since the underside is smooth but the top-side is heavily textured.

Great bench

The bench came quickly and was very easy to set up. The color is great and is a good accent color to spice the room up a bit. We are pretty tall people and can easily fit 3 people on it for dinner. Smaller people could probably get 4 on it comfortably. Very happy to have bought it and would recommend.

great furniture piece

easy assembly, quick delivery - just what you need when company is on it's way, and there's not enough room at the table. Rough grain texture- not a lacquered smooth finish which it looks like from the photo- but no snags to worry about. all the rough finish is smooth to the touch.
