oui, we'll take it. So say you went to the Paris flea market and found this gem of a 50s sofa, but by the time you negotiated the euros and crated it back it'd still need refurbishing and oh, well, never mind, keep walking, but can't stop thinking about how cool it would be in your place. I absolutely love this sofa. I live in a railroad-style apartment with a long, narrow living room. This sofa is nice and long, allowing many friends to sit on it at once. It is a serious piece of furniture that also isn't too "heavy" looking because of the narrow, little legs. The cushions aren't as cushy as my other couch, but it's comfortable enough to lie or sleep on. The only difficult thing is finding side tables that work with this sofa.

The whole couch experience was extremely well organized from CB2 sending a fabric swatch for approval and doorway diagrams with dimensions to assure an easy delivery, a phone call explaining couch cleaning care, and an on-time, easy delivery.
The couch itself is beautiful and sleek, and has the wonderful effect of making my small studio seem larger.

This simple and stylish sofa is the perfect piece for our living room. The classic modernist design fits right in with our mid-century chic decor. But it's not all form over function. It's ample length and comfy cushions provide the perfect spot for a Sunday of napping or catching a James Bond marathon.

Services: I had to reschedule my delivery 2-3 times and the operators were easy to deal with. Once delivered, the delivery services were fast, simple, and friendly.
Product: Though I agree that creases are formed after some lounging, they can be removed by pressing them smooth with your hand easily. It fits beautifully in my space and I've had SO many compliments. It is deep enough to lounge comfortably as well. All in all, very satisfied with this product and the services.

Best Sofa I Have Ever Owned

I was hesitant to purchase the sofa as it was a little bit more than I wanted to spend but couldn't be happier with it. It's comfortable enough for me and my guests and the fabric is more durable than any I have ever had on a sofa.
I highly recommend it based on quality and appearance. It's worth every penny.

Beautiful couch with minor flaw

We bought the Avec Tweed sofa about 1 year ago. We have really enjoyed it. It looks great and is very comfortable. It looks more gray online than in person. It tends be more brown(ish) in person. The biggest problem I have had is that the cushion foam has weakened much sooner than I would have liked. We have regularly flipped the cushions as directed. A more dense foam or springs may have assisted in keeping the cushions firmer for a longer period of time. Overall for the price it is nice looking couch.

First time I saw it at the store while shopping for a couch, liked it so much - bought it right away. It's spacious enough to entertain 4 guests easily without bumping elbows into each other. It doesn't look bulky at all. The style is modern, more along the mid century modern lines - very cool & chic. Construction seems to be solid, I have used it for over 8-9 months now. The seat cushions are on the firm-softer side, not very plush but that's exactly what I was looking for. For those of you who like to sink into their couches, this isn't for you. But its very comfortable to sit on for hours. The color and texture set this couch apart. I would recommend checking it out in the store.

when I saw this at the Georgetown store, I absolutely fell in love with it! It's chic & modern & exceeded my expectations. The only thing I would change is the smell, it sort of has a "glue" smell to it, but nothing fabreeze can't fix!

The Avec looks cool and hip but if you're looking for something soft and plush this isn't it. I can barely make it through a whole movie on it without getting restless and I'm not even injured or old.
The seat cushions also get a wrinkly look after you sit on them for a litle while and start to loose their clean lines quickly once the fabric on the cushions stretches out.
Structurally it's sound and doesn't bend or flex with three people on it.

No Better Sofa

I couldn't have found a better sofa to make my living room "pop" among the vintage lamps and live edge wood coffee table. I get SO many compliments on it, and love hanging out on it to watch TV! If I had one complaint, it's just that the cushions don't stay firm for too long.

if you like something firm, and you dont sink in, this is for you. I wanted something comfortable , timeless, modern, marry the idea of lounge as well and this couch is perfect. Just arrived today! look me up on instagram : kkrhythm for a picture how of I made it work for me.

I found my perfect sofa for my rehab'd modern condo - this has the simple ultra-modern look I was going for and it's so comfortable!!! The material is real durable too. The delivery guys just screwed on the four legs and it was ready to go. Perfect!!!

First time been at the store. Love it, love it, love it. It has a very clean line and modern look. The fabric has great texture. Hoping has more varietes of colors, different textures, and styles like sectional to choose from. Will recomend to family and friends about this product.

Saw this in the store and loved it immediately! Great look. Perfect depth. Wonderful material.
I only wish it had more modern legs on it instead of the metal pegs it had. But you can hardly see them anyways.

Snazzy couch, but some complaints

I agree with what everyone has said about this couch. It's really cool and retro-looking, it's long enough to fit 3-4 people, and the tweed does keep it from looking too bulky like a solid color might.
However, I agree with ChicagoAdam that the cushions do show wear rather quickly. I've had the couch for 2 months and I am noticing the sagging in the cushions and rippling/bubbling of the fabric.
All in all, I do really like the couch though it is a bit shallow to comfortably lay down with someone. But it's not impossible!

This is a great sofa. It is exactly the size and style we were looking for. The only negative is that it's not super comfortable but we are using it in our formal living room so that's fine.

Really Comfortable, Really Sexy

I LOVE my new couch. It's a really beautiful addition to my room, it really makes the space. I have a very mad men inspired living room and the tufted back and boxed shaped are perfectly 50s/60s yet still very contemporary.
I also love the color, the tweed gives the grey a lot of depth so it doesn't feel flat at all and makes it easy to match to accent colors.

I had original purchased a couch from another retailer, similar in design but lacking all of the charisma and style of this couch. When I saw this in the store, I knew I had to correct my original error. Luckily, the other retailer had a return policy that I was still covered by, and I was able to make the change.
I am so happy with my decision to switch to the Avec Tweed Sofa. It has great style and makes a statement to everyone who sees it. It is surprisingly comfortable, given its lack of back or side cushions. The high arms are very strong and supportive, making the corners perfect for leaning into while watching TV. The high back is nice for those that like to lean back on their couches. The tweed fabric is fun and subtle - not overpowering, so it should be easy to match with other fabrics and patterns.
I have seen a couple reviews commenting about the seat cushions buckling or the fabric stretching. I have had my couch since August and it's gotten its fair share of use, and I'd have to disagree. The areas that are used the most have gotten some small ripples over time, but nothing that removing the cushion and fluffing it up again hasn't fixed. I actually just did this last night, and it looks as great as the day I received it again!
I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Gorgeous Retro Sofa

When I saw this sofa, I fell in love! I was planning on another sofa from another store and was just searching for throw pillows on CB2. When I saw this sofa I said, "This changes everything!" And it certainly did! I purchased the sofa, throw pillows, white leather chairs and red pebble rug and I couldn't be happier with everything! I was nervous about purchasing it without seeing in person but am certainly glad I did!! It is very high quality and gives my home a modern retro 50's look. I loved it so much I shipped it to my new home in Italy!
