This is a really great product - a small, roll about steel shevling unit. Well finished, and went together single handed fairly easy but...
...for this price it should have arrived with American SAE nuts and bolts!
The metric nuts and bolts were fine threads and NO extras provided in event of a cross-thread or a lost item.
The "wrench" provided was 2" long and thinner than a penny - I measured - and useless. Luckily I had the metric tools from my PC Kit - sooo, if you don't have a #10 metric socket and driver handle go get one! As for the bright, shiny hex-key provided - "fugitaboutit". Once again get a good American steel hex-key and you are in business!
Other than that nothing but good things to say!!! Highly reccomended!

I purchased the go-cart bookcase almost a year ago and have it in my family room. It is a sturdy bookcase with being tall. I chose not to use the castors. It looks great and has been easy to dust. It is a nice, understated piece that performs as designed.

A really good looking bookcase

I bought this bookcase couple months ago and been using it since. It looks pretty sleek in my living room and it is pretty sturdy. Easy to assemble as well. Would definitely recommend to everyone looking for a simple bookcase.

Great open book case

We bought 2 of these for a recent office remodel to go in our art department. For $200, this is a great bookcase with excellent fit and finish. Holds a ton, and is very sturdy. Assembly was painless but tedious, make sure you have a level handy and double check everything before you tighten it all down and that will minimize the problem of it leaning to one side. Love the casters and how mobile it make the bookcase. I now want casters on all my furniture. Its such a great look.

This shelf is not only good looking but also pretty functional. The two front wheels have "brakes" too so it won't move once placed where ever you liked. Good finish, easy to install.

The go-cart carbon five-self bookcase is a nice addition to any space that needs simple and sturdy storage. Great utilitarian feel with casters that make for easy moving. Also included, a wall mount that allows for increased stability. Looks great when paired with any other "go-kart" piece. Highly Recommended.

I am terrible at putting things together...the absolute worst! So, I read every review to determine if I could do this myself. I decided I liked it enough to make the attempt, but semi-failed. The directions are fine-everything was clear, logical, and I did end up physically putting it together by myself. But I'd never actually bolted anything together before, and just didn't tighten things up enough. My dad came over and fixed this by properly using the tools provided with the cart. NOW that it's functional, I LOVE this piece and plan to buy another plus the matching tv go-cart. Great quality and stylish finish - and I love that I can move it around easily because of the wheels.

I wasn't sure about buying these, because I needed 2, which was $400.00 - but I went for it and it turned out to be the best purchase. I love the design and the shelves are very sturdy- I was worried about poor quality. But they aren't cheaply made at all and look great. They took a bit of time to assemble, but totally worth it!

This shelf was a life-saver for me. After running into problem after problem attempting to build a shelf for my projector, I finally gave up and bought this shelf. And I'm so glad I did because after weeks of headaches, I had this shelf up and the projector sitting on top in about two hours.
Its very sturdy (I trust it with my projector after all) and it looks great for a shelf. And its easy to move around! I put it together by myself and it wasn't too hard - possibly easier than the go cart desk even. I highly recommend this shelf if it meets your needs.

Yes it requires bolting together, I wasn't expecting it to suddenly leap to life from the box, but although they recommended two people I managed it alone in about an hour. It looks exactly as it should, doesn't wobble and the wheels lock firmly in place. It's a sturdy piece that fits well in small places.

Beautiful bookcase. Despite what some reviewers state, I found the assembly to be very easy and straightforward. A bit tedious given the number of screws but, the thing is sturdy as a result. Highly recommend.

Purchased this as a display case for matching warm industrial look. Easy to put together by one person (took a little over 30 minutes), looks great, sturdier than I thought it would be. Will purchase matching three shelf unit. Would recommend, and would purchase again.

I bought 4 of these for my living room for a large collection of over-sized design books and they are completely sturdy enough to hold their weight. They look great and were really easy to put together. The wheels are an added bonus as they work perfectly! Would recommend to anyone.

this bookshelf provides a lot of storage while taking up minimum floor space. It is less sturdy and substantial than I thought it would be and too office-y looking for my son's bedroom. I would only buy this for a real office setting. Set-up was time consuming but easy. Delivery was extremely fast - only 1 or 2 days.

Too much assembly required!

I was tempted to return this item when I opened the box and discovered assembly was required. There were 40 bolts required to assemble the 5 shelves and the bolts are not easy to tighten. This definitely takes 2 adults to put together. It took us an hour and our fingers were sore from the bolts. Overall, the look is contemporary and exactly what I was looking for. The shelves are also deep so you can use both sides. However, one should contemplate how much time they want to allot for assembly before buying!

Bought this for my teen son's room and it works great for books, school supply storage and such. Easy to put together and I did it by myself, although would have been easier with two as recommended in the instructions. Looks great with a little loft/industrial look. It has wheels on the bottom which make for a nice look, but I don't think it is really strong enough to move around when it is full. Happy with this look and function. Paired it with the Helix desk and my son does his homework with ease at his desk with extra storage close by.

This is a great shelving unit that can hold heavy items without looking too masculine, and it easily blends in with many types of decor. And the best part is, it is on wheels!

I bought this bookcase to use in my bedroom but ended up putting it in the kitchen. It is perfect! I put my microwave on it, a stand mixer, heavy pot, cookbooks and bowls.
It is very sturdy if you follow the directions when putting it together...make sure you dont tighten the screws completely until they are all in!
