Beautiful file box

I love this file box. I've purchased several as they're nice for both file and toy storage. (Our house is small, so most toys are stored in the living room. Therefore, beautiful storage options are appreciated.)
A couple reviewers mentioned the inside hardware for file hanging is not spaced properly, resulting in difficulty hanging file folders. In my case, I found the hardware was slightly off, which is unfortunate, and I hope they fix this production problem for future inventory. However, the poor spacing of the hardware doesn't prevent me from hanging file folders, it just makes the file folders slide less easily than they should. So it isn't ideal, but given the beauty of the boxes, I'm okay with it. I've removed one star from an otherwise 5 star review to reflect this production issue.

I love these boxes. I bought four, two for my writing files, one for my consulting work, and one for a house building project. I can take them with me, or leave them stacked as an elegant filing system in my house.

Don't Fit Standard Size Hanging Files

Very disappointed when I received this box and my standard hanging files (letter size) would not fit. There are two bars inside the box and the space between those is too narrow (by about a 1/4" or so). The result is having to put the files in diagonally to get them to fit in the box. I tried two different brands of hanging files, and neither fit. Really dumb production mistake that wasn't caught. Too bad, it's a really lovely box otherwise.

While they look beautiful from the outside, they don't fit standard size file folders! You have to place the hanging file folder on a "slant" in order to get it to slide on the hardware. Poor design, not functional!

I bought 5 of these to deal with file and accessory storage in my office, each stacked on the go-cart shelving available elsewhere on this site.
Attractive and much more sturdy (felt covered mdf) than other options for my intended use. Pricey, though, and were they a little less, would have merited the full 5 stars.

Nice Addition to Our Apartment

We needed to store our files in our living room since we live in an apartment, but we didn't want them in an unsightly, traditional filing cabinet (which takes up too much room anyway) so we ordered the felt file box. It fits nicely under a side table, looks great, and holds a ton of files. We're thrilled!
