keep calm rug
pop propaganda. Pre WWII motivational poster commissioned by the British Government Ministry of Information reports for duty in bright hand-tufted New Zealand wool. Attention-grabbing orange reassuringly commands to keep calm and carry on in charcoal grey with iconic crown of George VI. History buffs: The sovereign poster was never officially issued and remained unseen by the public...until 50 years later when one turned up in a random box of old books at auction. My husband and I bought this for our son's nursery after seeing it in the catalogue. We had to wait about a month to get the rug because it was out of stock. Also the shipping tag got torn off during shipping- I still don't know how it managed to get to us!
The rug is thick and bright. Whenever anyone comes to see the nursery the rug is always complimented. Also, we love how reassuring the slogan is when dealing with our newborn!

i love the story behind the rug, it is a cool conversation piece. it is super plushy, it has good pile. me and my cat can't stay off of it. the idea of a dark orange could be a turn off, but it blends surprisingly well into my apt. the only thing is it's a smaller rug, it's good for a smaller area (which is what i have), but it also costs less than cb2's other rugs, so there you have it. super happy with my rug!
