This is the second go-cart desk I've purchased. Total 5 star purchase. You would be hard pressed to find a piece of furniture that is this well made for the price. This desk is very easy to assemble. I use these in my studio. They support my computer/music gear very nicely. These desks can support some serious weight and the look great. My only gripe is the packaging; There is about 1.5 cubic feet of Styrofoam that secures the unit for transport. CB2 would be wise to address this issue.

My husband and 23 yr old daughter put the first one together in about 25 min. Had a couple brain freezes with left and right, but the second one, hmm, they tried to beat their time and did it in 20 min. I really like them ,well, yeah, the desks too. One is for my home office/ craft work and the other is for sewing. Then when we entertain I can wheel it, lock it and use them back to back as more table seating or one for appetizers down by the bar, I am thinking up so many ways to give them flexible uses. At first I thought I wanted a lot of drawers but I said anything going into the new basement had to do at least 2 things. These are going to be my work horses, and no stable fees. They were on back order til 2nd wk of Dec. But came early Nov. For that I was grateful.

Desk was on back order---now I see why. Only had to wait a few weeks. Once I received the email that it was being shipped, both arrived in a few days in perfect condition. As I've said in other reviews, smart packaging and so easy to assemble. What a great product! And you can't beat the price! Both my pre-teens are looking forward to using in their rooms. Although I have made it clear---no go cart races :-).

I got this desk for sewing- not a good thing. It shakes and shimmies when I'm sewing. Otherwise, it's great for drawing and is a nice, wide size.
It was really easy to put together and the shipping is so inexpensive!

This is a great desk, especially for the price. We bought two and use them as 'his and hers' desks. Assembly was a breeze, and they shipped much sooner than expected. Another great CB2 buy!

Stylish and Functional -- the best of both worlds!

From set-up to use, this desk is a dream -- a stylish, minimalistic dream that never skimps on quality!
It took us ~1 hour to set up, and there were no hitches in its construction -- everything screwed and clicked very nicely together and the desk itself feels much more sturdy than I was expecting!
Looking at the picture, it looks like pretty flimsy sheet metal, but in person it is surprisingly hefty -- the whole thing looks much more polished in real life. The wheels, as well, are a nice touch that really help this desk feel "put together" (and easy to move!), again re-emphasizing its being both stylish and functional: there's nothing worse than dragging a heavy desk's pointy legs along a wood floor!
I would highly recommend this desk to anyone looking for an affordably priced, attractive desk for either their home or office! It looks very snazzy paired with the Hancock bookcase, too!
The only issue I might raise is that the color is much lighter than the picture appears -- more weathered steel grey than black-grey. This fit perfectly in our house, but if you were gunning for an off-black desk, be warned that this desk is lighter than it appears.

I've been looking for a desk that didn't really feel like a desk for quite some time. This is exactly what I was looking for. There's plenty of surface area on this desk, but it fits in my tiny office and the separate filing cabinet can be kept under the desk when I need the space. I like the fact that there's no drawer for me to bang my knees into, and the locking wheels are handy. I have the version in gunmental. It has an irregularity in the paint around the joints, but that's not really a problem for me. If not for that, this review would be five stars.

i love this thing! i have in orange. also bought shelf to go with it. it's industrial yet stylish. it was easy to assemble and it doesn't roll all over like i worried it would. only if you need it to! it's a great size if you want a big computer desk. a lot of them are puny.

I recently became aware of the cb2 store after recieving my neighbors catalog in my maibox. I flipped through the catalog and saw this desk. I instantly loved the style and went online to find a store near me. The employees at the store were very helpful, when I purchased the desk it came in a box that fit in my roommates covertable bug so that was a relief. I am horrible at putting things togther and it did take 45 mins for me to put it together but it was very easy and more me than the desk itself. I would highly recommend this desk it looks great and the ease of bieng able to move it around is great, now only if the chair was comfortable it would have been a perfect situation so I am still on the hunt for a chair.

I love love love this desk. You have to like clean edges and be a modern decor person... Its not too fussy and its so strong.. It goes perfect with my home office. I definitely reccomend especially for the price

I'm a very picky person and I shop around for look, price and quality. This desk satisfied all of those. I love it. I was able to assemble this pretty quickly, while my husband was napping HaHa. The desk is very sturdy. Great buy!

After a long day sitting at a run down desk at work, it truly is a breath of fresh L.A. air to come home and continue the evening at the go-cart desk. It really does put the "Go" back in you. Love the wheels, the finish and the overall simplicity it has. Work just seems better on this desk. WOW!!

i'm totally in love with the "peel green" color i got, though i'll confess that only a month later there are so many piles of papers on top that i can barely see the color! i like the idea that the tables move around easily (i bought two so i can expand or reconfigure my work area if i need to). also, assembly was about half an hour each (cuz i was working in a small, awkward space), which didn't seem bad. it took a lot longer to uncrate the tables and cut the packing materials down for my city's fussy recycling crews! simple tables such as these will go on to have a happy, useful life elsewhere in the house if my needs change.

I purchased this desk for my son who will be turning 13 soon . This was the prefect choice for his new bedroom make-over. He loves it , he actually does his homework in his room now where it is quite. I call this a timeless peice of furniture that could be used anywhere in the house and will never look outdated. Great product for the money.

I bought this desk with the cabinet, but when I bought it I got the peel green desk. I really love it. It looks much better in person than on the website. It was easy to assemble and built well. I but a glass on top of it to protect it a little more and its great!

This desk is perfect for either student study space or use in a home office. It was easy to assemble, looks great in my space, and worked perfectly with an existing file cabinet I already had. It fits so well under the desk. The construction is very solid, which makes it a great purchase for its price. This desk is definitely a keeper and will make my next move with me!

I bought two of these desks for my boyfriend's busy photography studio. They were a snap to put together and have held up very well to heavy use and abuse. The powdercoating is baked on well and doesn't chip even under some pretty harsh treatment! The casters come in handy to move the desk around the studio as we need to shoot and move smoothly. I love the simple, unobtrusive design too! This desk is a workhorse and is a piece I'm sure we'll use and for years to come. I highly recommend this desk.
