cool illumination. So much neat stuff going on here. White paper shade with PVC liner shimmers the color of ice. Even cooler, shade rests in gunmetal steel tabs. great lamp at a great price

I bought two of these lamps to go beside two reading chairs in the livingroom. The dimmer switches are wonderful. The room is now always lit exactly right. The lamps are cool in a retro way, safe from being knocked over by the kids (because of that nice square base), and emit a lovely glowing light. All for a reasonable price! Love 'em!

My living room couch sits low on the ground and subsequently has a low back, so I was looking for lamps that didnt tower over the couch like an alien spacecraft. The base of the lamp easily slides under my couch so I am enjoying the saved floor space. During the day, these lamps look nice and modern in my space. But its not until they are turned on, at night, that they reallly shine. The frosted-like shade really does shimmer and with a built in dimmer, you can control the brightness. My only complaint is that the lamp shade could have been made with a smaller diameter.

I bought this lamp because of the height and square base. I was worried about sturdiness after reading a review about a different lamp on CB2. This lamp works very very well and was a lot brighter than I may have guessed. It has a dimmer switch to adjust which is a plus.
