Brilliant light. Great with incandescents & dimmer

I saw an example in the CB2 with two of the firefly lamps over a darjeeling table, and as I was buying the darjeeling and only had one fixture over the far side of it, I realized this was the answer.
I bought two and my father helped with the install--we drilled a hole into the ceiling for the new fixture location and snaked a romex back to the existing fixture. Since I'm in a condo, I have inch thick sheetrock ceilings, so we needed to drop some pretty deep anchors in, but fortunately the fixture only weighs about 12 lbs so nothing too heavy duty was required.
We measured out and put both fixtures up and it turned out amazing. I bought 10 type g candelabra incandescent bulbs and put in a dimmer and it's really great--at the lower settings, the light reflects in the globes a good deal, like one of the other reviews said, really giving the firefly look.
These are absolutely brilliant and everyone who's seen them comment on them immediately. And my beautiful table.

I bought this light to go over a coffee table - it is such a great conversation piece! I would love to have room over my dining room table to line two up, but I don't - so the coffee table/sofa it is! The pendant & cords are lined up like they are shown, so all we had to do was unwrap it & wire it in! I get so many compliments on this! Nothing else like it out there!

We lived with our newly renovated kitchen for 1.5 yrs & found the perfect fixture for over the island! We love the simplicity of the design. We had gotten used to living with the open space above the island, but really needed more light. So this clean design adds the light without cluttering or blocking the space and the views!

This light fixture looks just perfect in our kitchen. We have angled ceilings and the lights balance out the space wonderfully. It was an easy installation. I love this light fixture. LOVE!

I am renovating my kitchen and choose the firefly pendant lamp for over-the-table lighting. I have several recessed lights in the ceiling, so I didn't need the brightest light possible from a ceiling fixture. This lamp is not bright - you wouldn't want to use it for the sole lighting in a room - but it is just delightful! It is especially enchanting at night, (with a dimmer switch on low) when it truly does look like fireflies in globes. In this midst of a winter blizzard, it reminds me longingly of summer and makes me smile whenever I walk into the kitchen. A perfect purchase!

This pendant is just sooo cool! Gives off lots of light and is perfect on a dimmer switch. Everyone comments on this light as soon as they see it hanging over our dining room table. Great price for a great product!

I was surprised how big these were when I got them out of the box and panicked at first. Each one is like a really big canteloupe - Measure and hold out your hands before you buy them! These are not bistrot lights. They seemed smaller in the photos because they show a big table. Over my tiny table the set of two seemed too much so I just installed one and it looks great. A set of several units would look great - over a really big table. In the end very happy with them. Lots of compliments. You can link these to a dimmer switch on the wall (unit appx $25) but you have to use incandescent bulbs if you do that bc CFLs will flicker.

Amazing Light....I suggest you install with a dimmer switch to adjust down to the firefly look in the evening, Simply beautiful. The actual glass globes are 7" diameter which are bigger than pictures on internet look but I like the orbs. The light looks designer in a higher price range and could'nt purchase anything close in a big box store

My husband wasn't so sure when I showed him this chandelier...but once we got it and put it up - he was enchanted!! When the lights are low, the lights bounce off and reflect off the Glass Globes making it really look like there are little fireflies circling the lights! I have contemporary taste, my husband, not so much, but BOTH of us LOVE this light!! One of the globes was broken in shipping, even, but a replacement was sent within 3 days. It was such good service, I don't even care that one arrived broken!! Worth the wait!!!!!

This is soooo nice...It looks just like it does on line. Everyone that comes over loves it. I brought the glass table also and it looks great together in my living room. I love it because its so different and you can not find it anywhere in my area.

Super bang for the buck! We'd been contemplating custom pendants from a lighting store and decided to give this a try instead and am so happy we did! Really makes an impact in the space and is beautiful to look at even in natural light with the lights off. Doesn't throw a whole lot of light on the dining room table and the globes are a bit...filmy...but overall you can't go wrong.

beautiful and unique, not like everything else out there at the big home stores. love how it doesn't obstruct our view. only minor complaint is that if bumped, 2 of the globes can hit eachother. so far, so good, i've just wondered about keeping a replacement globe on hand in case one breaks?? all together, love my purchase!

The pendant lamp is beautiful and made my boring kitchen sing. It isn't as bright as I was hoping it would be--only 25watts per bulb. It's really magical on dim in the evening though. It take two people to hang and the inside of the globes have a dusty film that's hard to remove--required ammonia to clean them out. Recommend cleaning the globes before hanging.

The Firefly Pendant Lamp replaced a very industrial-type fixture I never liked over my kitchen island. I had contemplated this purchase for awhile and am not sorry I finally ordered it. I adore how it looks, and the lighting is excellent. It was shipped in perfect condition. The installation was a little tricky, only because it was located over the island and the ceilings are high, but was still very "do-able" by my husband and myself with the project being completed in a couple of hours. Love it!

I love this firefly pendant lamp, it adds whimsy to my room. I love the way it lights up the dining table and gives a you a smile at night. Brings me back to my childhood of watching Fireflies in the summer nights. Very classy and easy to live with. I only wish it came in a curved form so I could have created a circle instead of a line.

I recently purchase this light after seeing it in the catalog. I got it home and the install was so easy. It looks great in my dining room as an art piece and also as great lighting. So thankful for CB2 you have everything I could ever need and all that I have always wanted!
