Different but average
Date: 12/28/2009
I was expecting something heavy and metal but appears to have a sheath of plastic covering, to create that patina finish.
It doesn't look authentic as described.
I think it's a bit expensive for 50 bucks. On sale now for 40 bucks but I would still think twice before purchasing it.

for my succulents!
Date: 09/26/2009
I am pleased with this trough! It sits on top center of a black entertainment center with a wall painted wine-red. It adds as a highlight to my living room with succulent plants sitting in it. At CB2 there are also long metal pieces exactly matching this vase.

One of a kind!
Date: 09/06/2009
I bought two of these and love them. I was afraid they would be sold out. I have two on my deck. Yes, it is very thin but not impossible to get plants in. I split my funcus (tall green spikes) to fit the vase and use it like a planter. I have the prettiest backyard deck in all the neighborhood now! Don't hesitate if you like the look. I will also use this in my house when the season ends. Very cool.

loved the urban vibe
Date: 09/05/2009
i loved this planter. it size was perfect for my kitchen. it looks modern and the color was a great contrast to my dark granite. the planter is very thin so you need to select the right plants that can thrive in a small space. as you can see, i prefer natural plants but it works well for whatever you decide to put in it.

I know the description for this item says the patina is green, but the pictures clearly show that the patina is more blue (almost electric blue) in some cases. I think it is perfect for a low arrangement, and it's beautifully made. I put dried sunflower heads from my garden in it and put it in my spare bedroom.

More of a blazing turquoise
Date: 06/24/2009
I had bought this vase for a client. The size was perfect for our application and the quality is excellent. Unfortunately, the color was way off and looked very unnatural. I had expected a natural green patina of the copper, but in actuality, it was a very strong, almost electric turquoise. It reminded me of my parent's carpet in the 1960s.

Good Solution

I like it but the price was hard to cough up.
Also, I recommend buying this in the store as all vary a bit in color (some have blotchy pink spots, which I know I do not prefer).

cool look (and functional too)
Date: 04/06/2009
I love this little guy. It has a really cool aged look to it. We planted horse tail and put it out on our deck. It hasn't experienced rain yet, but we'll see how it withstands the elements. Only thing I was surprised about was how little it actually holds. It's super slim inside! But overall, I think it looks great.

Patina Vase
Date: 03/19/2009
This is just what I needed. A vase in the center of your table where the flowers sit low enough and you can still the other people at the table. This works perfect. They vase will also work in a bedroom or bathroom.

Not as it appears in the photos
Date: 03/19/2009
I purchased this vase online and was shocked to see how bright it was when I received it. It is much, much brighter than it appears in the photos in the catalog and on the website. It's a very, very bright turquoise (bordering on flourescent, it doesn't even look like patina). I decided to keep it because it's still the right size and style I wanted and was a decent price, but I'm going to have to try to do something to tone down the color.

Patina Vase
Date: 03/16/2009
I'd been looking for a vase like this a long time. Something low where you can have flowers in the center of your table, but still see your company and have room for dinnerware. This works perfect. And if I get bored with it on my dining room table it works perfect in the bedroom under my artwork on the bedroom cabinet. As a matter of fact, I may order another one. Have at it.

slightly disappointed
Date: 03/07/2009
I bought the patina vase to match the brass wall art. Although I loved the brass wall art, I was disappointed with the vase. The one I purchased had too much patina on it. I had to sand parts of it down so that you could see the metal underneath. In addition, it was so narrow, that to plant anything in it, such as what the catalog picture depicts (e.g. grass), was virtually impossible. For the price, I would not recommend this product.
