Wonderful product! Everythings great! I love how they look on my glass table w/ my chrome decor. I was a little skeptical about the complaint of plastic but to my surprised i haven't smelled anything.The best part was the shipping I ordered @ 4pm Wed afternoon and my order was here by 3pm Thurs remind you this was standard shipping. I will definately order more.

I like this item a lot. It's very durable and heavy. Awesome that you can use either side (shiny or dull).

I bought these in the bright yellow (during the summer) and white. I use them on my table, the island and also under the dog's dishes on the wood floor in the kitchen. They're easy to clean and perfect for kids, pets and even adults. Functional, while adding a modern and bright twist to the dining table - and the price is perfect.

I was thrilled to happen upon these at the CB2 store. Placemats that look like shiny patent leather - divine. I bought them in both black and white, and I use them for all kinds of purposes besides on the dining table. I use them as drawer liners, and on my office desk. They're gorgeous.

We got these in black for our dining table. Easy to clean, but you can see some minor swirl/scuff marks in the light. If it really bothers you, you might want to wipe it with microfiber instead of terry cloth. It doesn't really bother us since we figured if it gets really bad, we'll just use the matte side.

We have a black lacquer table and silver chairs so the silver placemats are perfect. So far, we have had no problem with scratches as some reviewers noted, but they are still pretty new. They clean up easily and well. If they ever go on sale, I will probably puchase some extra ones.

Excellent product and price. I have 4 white and 4 silver. The white are great and no worries that it is white. The silver are better than I expected. The color is so good at a quick glance it could be mistaken.

I purchased these not to use as placemats for my dining table but for my sneakers in my entryway. I like that they're easy to clean and that they're bright and cheerful. Plus, the price can't be beat. :)

The first time I used the silver placemats they scratched right away and are already looking scruffy. I thought they would be durable but they are not. I would not recommend them.

I bought these placemats in white because white matches everything.They stain quite easily, which doesn't look good on a white placemat.I wouldn't recommend them.

I love these placemats! Yes, when you first get them, they do smell like plastic, but it went away after I laid them individually to air them out. We use them everyday (seriously!) and they wipe clean easily--which is key with 2 children. I just make sure they're dry before I stack them up to prevent mildew. One tip: when my kids get tomato sauce on our white gloss mats, it does leave a stain, but I spray a tiny bit of X-14 and it disappears and then wipe clean after.

I had to send these back because they smelled very strongly of plastic. I let them air out for about a week, but the odor still hadn't gone away.
