Great Shag Rug!

I was a little bit hesitant about purchasing this rug after reading the reviews, especially regarding the 'shedding' aspect. But decided to go for it since I felt the color & texture were perfect for my newly remodeled dining room. It is perfect!! Looks absolutely gorgeous under my wenge dining room table & adds the texture & warmth that I wanted. The color is perfect too... not sure about a couple review comments about it being green! Don't see that at all. I don't think I will have the shedding problem as much since it will not be in a heavy walk area... just a light vacuuming should do the job. Very happy with this purchase.

We researched this for a week prior to buying because of the LOW price for the 8x10. Thought it was an amazing deal compared to the C&B Paolo or Zia shag rugs which are double the price. In this case I think you get what you pay for. This rug looked great out of the bag and for about 2 weeks, but now having owned it for just over 3 months it looks as if we owned it for many years in a high traffic area. This rug is only stepped on when getting in and out of our bed - it is never walked on other than that and we do not own pets. The fuzz balls are overwelming - must clean a couple times a week. It sheds like an animal. The worst part though is that many of the shag is unwinding from the top and splitting which makes the rug look AWFUL and CHEAP. It is impossible to unify the shag once it has split into the 2 threads that are twisted to make it. We have not vacuumed it because the care guide says to have it professionally cleaned so that is not the problem either. Definitely would NOT buy again and I do not recommend. Buyer beware.

Nice colors, just not what I was expecting, and not a match for my room. There is NO GREY!!! Maybe these vary a little but mine is a brownish color with some green undertones. The lighter shags are a nice cream color.
nice rug.only a couple days old so not sure of wear yet. I'm sure the quality will be up to par with other CB2 items.
CB2, why not have a $10 12x12 square available to look at color in house? I would have chosen otherwise had I seen the colors in person....

The shag looks amazing and holds up quite well to a lot of foot traffic. The one negative is that it's constantly shedding. I've had the rug for over a year and it still sheds just as much as the day i got it. Even with multiple vacuums a week I'm constantly finding rug fiber dust balls all over the apartment.

OK, so i signed on every day to read the new reviews. I was concerned about the mixed color everyeone wrote about. I finally decided to just buy it. AND I LOVE IT. I have a family room with new dark brown furniture and grey accents. I know this rug is grey and beige but in our family room with ambient lighting it actually looks like 2-shades of grey instead. I love the high pile and do wonder about the vaccum issue but don't care enough to send back. The rug is awesome! Very modern and great under feet!

Just got this rug today for our living room in 8 by 10 in the grey and beige. It is awesome!! Different from anything I have seen. If you are looking for something more exciting above and beyond your typical living room wool rug, this is for you. Definitely makes a statement in the house. Shedding doesn't bother me but vacuuming will be a challenge.

I was prepared for the worst in terms of shedding, but it's much better than I expected. The rug really warms up our living room and doesn't show any dirt which is great for this high traffic zone for our kids and dog.

Great Texture

When I first unrolled this rug, it wasn't exactly what I was expecting but I still loved it. It is a two-toned (gray-beige) long shag rug. But boy does it look amazing. The texture and feel of this rug is great. Only downfall is the shedding. I've had rugs before that shed, but this one is the winner. Overall it is beautiful and transforms any room, would still buy it today, shedding and all.

the rug shag was way too long, but maybe the older pics on the product page was not as good as the current pics, you now have a better idea of how long the actually "shag" is.

My condo is very modern--filled with clean lines, hardwood floors, glass, and stainless steel. I needed something to warm up my living space and make it a bit more ... well ... livable.
The Lounge Rug has been the perfect solution, offering a great place to lie down and watch TV, read, or even nap.
Regarding some concerns in the other reviews: yes, the rug does shed ... but it's a thick wool rug, so that's to be expected. I've had mine for a year now. The shedding decreased with time, and the rug still looks like new.

We love this rug! The shag style makes it fun and modern, but the high quality wool and great color makes it look very sophisticated. As the CB2 website acknowledges, the rug does shed, but we've had ours for 2 years and it still looks beautiful and has worn extremely well.

I purchased this rug last year. It is really great and soft, but very hard to clean, and sheds like crazy- if the individual shag pieces were thinner i think it would be a better product, but nonetheless, we love ours.

This rug instantly transformed my living room hardwood floor into a cozy space. I highly recommend getting the rug pad to hold it in place. The rug is so soft and plush that you can sleep on it comfortably! Sheds a bit, but not too bad.

the rug itself is great...very soft and comfortable, although it does shed ALOT...but be aware that it is definitely 2 DIFFERENT colors.
the pictures in the catalog and on the website show a slight variation in the color throughout, but the "stone" color is basically brown-grey with a MUCH lighter green-ish color mixed in.
i liked the rug, but wished it was the solid grey that i thought it was going to be. i ended up sending it back...which is a huge pain and very expensive, so make sure you're ok with the color contrast before you order.

Sure it sheds a bit but not as much as I was expecting. It has great texture and feels terrific on bare feet. I have two dogs so I'm used to the shedding. I also haven't had any problems with vacuuming it - just set the vacuum on the highest level.

I love the color! I was iffy on it when I ordered it online but very happy with the result. It has somewhat of a grey-brownish tone with the two different color filaments (grey and beige).
