If you can get it all assembled, with the malaligned holes working against you, it makes quite a statement with its huge shade. I will not disassemble it.

This is a nice looking lamp for the money, especially the shade which is a soft white, however, you do need two people to assemble it. That is the difference between the reviews that say it is easy to assemble and those that explain the agony of the tiny set screws. I needed it for a photo shoot and did it myself - not recommended!!

This lamp is hot! Don't be scared by the assembly - I was at first but it took 15 minutes all in. Once the lamp was up - WOW - amazing!!! - it truly made my living room and I am LOVING it! Gorgeous lamp shade, truly the centerpiece of the room. Get it!

I agree with the other reviews. It was certainly a challenge to assemble and I was really frustrated when I lost one of those tiny screws. I definitely recommend this for people who have some patience. But in the end, you do end up with quite a stunning lamp.

Smallest screws ever

Initially, i thought it would take 5, maybe 10 mins to assemble this lamp, however, there are five small screws, smaller than the head of a match, that you must use to hold the legs in place. Unless you have hands the size of a ken doll, this task is very difficult. It took over one hour because I dropped 4 of the 5 screws twice and then had to search on the floor for them..noway. In the end, this lamp is not special enough to endure the agony of putting it together..

This lamp is gorgeous when it's put together. That having been said, make sure you have a few hours, a serene mind, and an equally patient helper to put it together.
It looks and "feels" way more expensive than it is. It's easy to move short distances, and the light is nice. I love it (though my feelings were not so positive during assembly!)

My husband and I didn't think assembly on this lamp was that difficult. It took us less than 1/2 hour. We read through the directions, put all the rods in place and then one person held them and one person turned the rods until they lined up with the ring and put the screws in. Small screws last! It was pretty reasonable and the lamp is amazing! It so big that it really makes a room and gives off tons of light. Free shipping was just the icing on the cake.

How many people does it take to assemble the twine floor lamp? Way too many. I had two people helping me and the lamp is barely standing. The pieces are tiny and it's nearly impossible to assemble - in fact, several of the screws won't actually stay in place. If it wasn't such a pain to box back up, I'd be sending it back. It's really too bad because I had such high hopes.

Not fun to put together, the little screws are so tiny and if you drop one, they are impossible to find. We ended up putting together minus the microscopic screws.

I have been married for 10 weeks and the assembly of the Twine Lamp has been the biggest test of my marriage (all in this time we have sold a house, moved countries and started new jobs). My husband tells me size doesn't matter but in the case of assembling this lamp it certainly does. The small screws are useless. When you finally get it up it is well worth it. Spectacular!!

Screws Are Cheap

Do yourself a favor and go to your nearest home improvement store to buy a different set of screws. It will make the assembly much easier! For such a pricey lamp, one screw split in half (which was an ordeal to remove from the leg) and most of the others were impossible to screw in all the way! Once put together, though, it's a great looking lamp! Very chic!

THANK YOU!!! to the CB2 Customer Service Staff. I had been waiting to order the lamp and once I did, I couldn't wait for it to arrive. It arrived in 2 HUGE boxes, one just for the shade. The shade box looked a little beat up and sure enough, I saw it was damaged once I opened it. I called the 24-hour, 7-day a week customer service line and was helped immediately. The process was so easy! Thank you again for the lamp and the great service!

This lamp is exactly what I was looking for in our living room. Fortunately our marriage survived its assembly! It's a bit of a bear to put together and I don't know how you would do it with just one person. It DOES look really good, though, once assembled.

The lamp is "cool". It is taller and the 2' radius is all larger than one anticipates but it means it grabs your attention. It isn't easy to set up, but that could be user error. I eventually got it together.

Great lamp for a large room without an outrageous price. Assembly is sort of a pain though, and I'm an engineer!?! Overall, very satisfied with the purchase. CB2 how about some instructions?

This lamp looks GREAT! I love it. It really wasn't that difficult to put together, definitely helps to have 2 people and the picture from the catalog handy. But not nearly as much of a problem as anticipated.
