I bought this bed for my guest room and (although it took quite some time) I was able to put it together by myself without scratching it or my floors! I wouldn't recommend doing it without som help though. I only wish it came in King so that I could have purchased it for my room and put my old adjustable metal bed frame in the guest room.
And, as has already been mentioned, a matress by itself doesn't quite cover the slats, but with bedding it is fine.

This bed is great and pretty easy to assemble (considering the other things assembled by my boyfriend and I that day). I love the built in nightstand and the clean look of it.

The alpine bed comes unassembled, but it was very easy to put together. It definitely takes 2 ppl, since the pieces are a bit heavy, and you don't want to scratch the white powdercoating on the steel.
Once assembled, the bed is very sturdy and solid. It looks modern and adds a refreshing element to any room. Dress it up with a duvet color and sheets with color or pattern.

I purchased this bed for my 14 year-old daughter and was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy and good-looking it is. She loves it! It is modern, has clean lines and is comfortable. The only negative thing is that you definitely need two people to put it together and it takes some time.

The White Alpine Bed is Ideal

At first I was a bit worried about assembly, but it proved to be unecessary: I was able to put it together quickly by myself. (I am amazed at how well CB packs things.... I also had a Kipling Dining room table delivered and it was equally as soundly packed.) The white metal finish was flawless. Now I am so pleased to look at this work of art in my new bedroom. Complete satisfaction! Can't wait to order more!!!

I work in a prop shop that has this bed in our stock. Hefty yet sleek steel with a beautiful & tough finish, (our stuff can get worn quickly!). I'd love to have this as my bed, but alas, it's only offered in queen...I always gaze at it longingly when I pass it by.

Some Points of Caution

The bed's low profile and angled headboard look great. However, mine arrived with a slight ding in the sheetmetal. Also, as others have noted, the slats are clearly visible, and, to make matters odder, the slats are anchored by black plastic "holders" which look horrible against the white frame. Allow extra time to spraypaint the slats and holders before final assembly. Also, you will definitely need help putting the bed together.

This is a very pretty bed frame. I would agree with other reviews - easy to put together, somewhat strange that the bed
itself doesn't cover all the slats on the bottom (but with bedding, it should be fine). For the price, it's great.

We purchased this bed for our daughter who just turned 13. She loved the look of this bed online so we were very pleased to find the quality was good when it arrived. It took some time to get here (we are rurally located), but the CB2 people were very helpful. We didn't have too much trouble putting it together, but you definitely need at least two people. We love this bed!

When I saw the bed in person I fell in love with the sleek modern design. The headboard that doubles as a nightstand is excellent and saves me from having to spend money or valuable floor real estate on a separate night stand. Putting it together requires more than one person, but it's fairly straightforward. The slats do peek out from underneath a queen sized mattress and if the mattress is low profile there will be a considerable gap btwn the mattress and the headboard. Still, I think it's an excellent bed and it really anchors the mod style I'm going for.

Purchased the bed for my teenager daughter. She loves it! Looks very grown-up. Not too difficult to put together. The only negative is- even with a queen mattress-- the slats on the platform show a tiny bit. BUT, the comforter usually covers it. Highly recommended bed!

i have one of these in my master bed room and another in the guest bedroom. they keep my bedrooms sleek looking which adds to the modern feel. i can even save money because i don't have to buy nightstand.
