Great purchase - careful of weight

These towers are prefect for small spaces - lots of style and makes a lot of room in tight spaces. Please do note - these come fully assembled - all you have to screw in are the leveling feet. This makes for very large, very heavy boxes. Even though the are metal (they don't look it) they are heavy so be careful how & where you have them delivered and use two people to move them if possible. I can be done with one person but 2 is safer.

I bought this tower for my teenager boy's bedroom. It comes fully assembled and you can adjust the feet in case on an uneven floor. I have carpet and I adjusted the feet so the tower leans more against the wall. I installed it between 2 windows and its small size fits perfectly. So great to display memorabilia, books...

Easy Purchase and Delivery

Bought 2 Carlson towers in white--great accent piece to any room. They are even more impressive than in the photo. Placed one in the living room and it complements my Noguchi prismatic table perfectly! One tower arrived w/ paint chipped from the shelf, but customer service arranged for a pick up and re-delivery in no time. Only assembly is attaching "feet"--very easy to screw in. Great product and a pleasure to deal w/ CB2!!

Bought 3 of these for our bedroom. Clean lines and simple design keep the room open and airy, but also adds a great deal of storage space. We like it!

I purchased the Carlson white tower last year in the Soho store. The weight of this piece says it all; this is a quality metal cabinet, with adjustable feet and a flawless finish. Solid, stable, functional and great looking. Shelves are 12 3/4" high, so they fit binders, magazines, piano books etc! Love it!

Bookcase fit just where I needed it. Very sturdy, with a nice smooth finish. Arrived fully assembled except for the feet, which even I could attach. A real winner!

I love these towers. They are very attractive and solid, and they hold a lot of stuff. I put two of them together in my son's room and use them for books and to display his collection of baseballs and other memorabilia. Each shelf is high so tall books fit with no problem. The white towers complement the navy dressers and white file cabinet very nicely. Highly recommend.

We bought four of these towers to fit into two odd spaces created by the duct work in our home. They're very stable once they have some books on them and have adjustable feet.
When moving or positioning them, I made the mistake of lifting one by the shelf, which caused a little bit of the powdercoat to chip off near a hidden weld. Lift from the sides and you'll be all set.

Better than in the pictures

I hestitated. Should I really spend the money? There are cheaper bookshelves elsewhere. Now I am soooo glad I did. I bought one blue and three white, and they are smashing. And no assembly! All came right on time, very well packed, in perfect condition. And they both look great and function well. I wondered if metal shelves would be too industrial for my space, but they look clean, crisp, and contemporary, not institutional. Very happy with the product and the service.

We bought this shelf to fit in a really tiny spot in our kitchen to hold our cookbooks. It's fabulous! It's very stable, it has a sleek look and it holds quite a few books. I highly recommend it!

Bought the Carlson II white tower for the kitchen, to store all sorts of things we wanted close at hand: land line phone and Yellow pages; CDs; dictionaries; cookbooks; a puzzle to work on. You name it, we have it stashed in there. Yet it doesn't take any space at all!

I'm extremely happy with this purchase. It's a space-saver that actually looks attractive! Way better than ugly plastic organizers. Practical and multifunctional; I want more. The "cubbies" are the perfect size for magazines and tall books as well as pretty much anything else you can imagine. The CB2 felt storage bins fit perfectly and make the tower look even better. I have one in my bedroom, but it would look great in any room in the house. Buy it!

I had a spine-style bookshelf set up on one side of my studio, but it was full and I felt I needed to reconcile the stack of leftover books in my closet. I also happened to have a 12-inch slice of wall available on the other side of the studio. I debated getting the Coop Tower but settled on the Carlson in white to keep things simple.
I really like the bookcase and I have been told it pulls together the room. Its height is an asset for my apartment, giving the illusion that I have more space than I do. I put my favorite table lamp on top of the Carlson tower and now it functions in place of a floor lamp, too.
I like the look of the felt boxes CB2 offers to go inside the Carlson shelves, although I bet DIY-minded types could also craft some nifty boxes with fabric and glue. I'll have to decide if I'm DIY-minded in this case.

I bought this to replace a larger clunky wooden bookshelf that I had in my studio apartment & couldn't be more pleased. The shelf looks great, holds lots of books (or other items) & has a tiny footprint & presence because of it's sleek (but sturdy) metal design. I plan on buying a second one.
