Cold and Hard
Date: 01/21/2010
I read all of the good reviews on this mat and fell in love with it! I thought it would be the perfect solution to our always wet bathroom rug and so I promptly bought it in the freezing cold of January. When it was delivered, it was super heavy. I managed to drag it into the bathroom where it looked great. I walked on it with my socks on and it felt great! The next morning, when I stepped out of my hot, steamy shower onto my pebble mat, I thought I had stepped outside in the 18 degree weather! The pebbles were FREEZING cold! Not only that, they hurt my barefeet to walk on. I would recommend this mat for warm weather, outdoor use only.

Best for outdoors
Date: 11/23/2009
I got this for my bathroom. Just like the description says, "no two are alike". Mine has HUGE stones on it, nothing like the pic but never the less it still looks very much the same. I can lift a lot of weight, but I am not fond of moving this thing around. It weighs about 20 pounds, so heads up to those who aren't as "agile". It's not too heavy to where I can't move it at all tho, so don't get me wrong. The rocks are NEVER coming off! They glued them things down GOOD! I'm thinking of putting it outdoors too =]

pathway
Date: 10/22/2009
I've made a pathway outside to
cover my dogs' path to birdfeeders.
Having MS, I've been told that what
I walk on is therapeutic in that the
bottom of my feet talk to my brain.
The black stones do get quite hot in the
sun, so just wear socks - and to replace
stones, use Gorilla Glue. So far I have
20-plus pebble mats - order when I can.

Zen Modern
Date: 09/29/2009
A few things you might like to know about this product...
It's definitely on the the larger side (I'm using mine in front of my sink) It's wonderful to stand on while you're shaving or doing anything else in front of the mirror.
Some reviewers complained about the pebbles not being close enough together (granted there are other pebble mats out there, but for this price you can't beat the value) it's great for someone who doesn't want to sink too much money into a bath mat.
The pebbles on my mat are actually black (nothing like the gray in the picture) but this adds to the uniqueness of the piece... anything made from natural material will have variations
The felt backing hasn't stained the white porcelain tile on my bathroom floor (something I wondered about when purchasing the mat)
The best way to keep this mat clean;
Use canned air (the kind you use to clean keypads) it gets any dust out of the grooves, and definitely give it a polish with a soft cloth (it helps to keep it's luster)
Hope this answers any questions you might be having about this item!!!

Perfect Outdoor Mat
Date: 09/27/2009
I have two of these mats; one at my front door and one at my back door. They are very stylish and practical; they don't get moldy and they keep dirt from tracking into the house without detracting from their appearance. I definitely recommend this mat.

for the kitchen!
Date: 09/26/2009
I purchased 2 of these mats. One is placed in front of the kitchen sink and the other is in front of the stove. My feet feel great while I'm cooking or leaning on the sink! It's such a unique piece. The mat is heavy which is good so it doesn't really move around easily. I decided not to place it in the bathroom b/c the packaging from the delivery said it needs to be kept in a dry place so mold won't grow.

Unique Bathtime Fun
Date: 09/22/2009
I love this pebble mat. I use it as a bathmat in my bathroom because it massages my feet when I step out the shower and it feels ever so soothing. All my friends comment on how unique and cool it is. Very heavy, so not easy to move around a lot, but still very fun to look at.

Great product!
Date: 09/18/2009
The matt adds an interesting touch to a room. It is very noticable, very striking. Everyone that's been in my house has loved the mats. They are heavy and a little awkward to clean. Only fall back I have, my cat refuses to walk on the mat, for whatever reason.

Like other reviewers have said, this mat looks and feels great and is generously sized, but weighs a ton and does not function to actually dry your feet. I personally love it for its look and feel, but it's obviously not a fabric/plush bathmat.

Looks great but stays wet
Date: 09/08/2009
I bought this for outside on my deck. It looks great but the bottom is a felt like material that stays wet after it rains. I would recommend it but not for a deck or other surface that can be damaged by moisture.

Very Zen
Date: 09/07/2009
This bath mat is very cool, feels wonderful underfoot because it actually massages your feet and hits just the right pressure points, and is a fun conversation piece. Guests always remark on how interesting it is. The only slightly negative is that it is very heavy, which makes cleaning the bathroom floor a little more involved. Regardless, I love it.

Aesthetically great, average as a bath mat
Date: 09/04/2009
This mat really does look beautiful as a bath mat. Guests have commented that it looks built into our floor (it also matches the style/color scheme of our particular bathroom very well), and gives it that "spa" look.
As far as actual bath mat use, it is very nice and comfortable if you like the stone feel-- a little bit of a massage on your pressure points. It's not the best dryer-- you will leave wet foot prints after stepping on this. I did find that some of the moisture did seep through to under the mat, but very minimal, and no less than a normal bath mat.

This stone Pebble mat is really big and feels nice when stepping out of the shower. It is cool to the touch on a hot day and is really rather relaxing!
