Perfect for a small room
Date: 02/03/2010
I had been looking for just the right sized daybed for a small guest room.....this one is versatile and perfect. My 6 ft. grandson sleeps on it with the cushions side by side and says it is very comfortable.

Not comfortable to sleep.
Date: 09/29/2009
Slept on this product at my sister and brother-in-laws in their guest room. While it looks great in their loft and is very sleek, it is not the least bit comfortable to sleep on. I would seriously reconsider before using as an extra sleeping space.

Great couch/bed
Date: 09/03/2009
I had been looking for about 2 years for a low-profile lounging-sleeper piece. I wanted it to fold out to a bed, but not be a huge couch... I've lived with queen sofa-sleepers and large futons, and they are heavy and visually bulky. This daybed fits perfectly in among my other pieces and it's very lightweight. The top removes completely from the bottom portion, which I wasn't aware of. There is a piece of rubber like a rug pad on the bottom part to keep the top from sliding, but it will shift if you push on the top part. I don't mind this, though. It stays put well enough. The foam is a bit stiff, and the headroll rolls back when you lean on it, but for the price, and low profile, I am very happy with it.

The Missing Link Found
Date: 09/03/2009
I needed more seating in my one-bedroom apartment's living room that didn't overwhelm the space. It also had to double as a guest bed. The Lubi daybed is a perfect addition to my mid-century decor and it feels almost like one of those super-duper foam mattresses.
My friends will tell you that I continue to rave about this great, versatile piece of furniture.

looks great!
Date: 09/03/2009
I really like this daybed and it looks fantastic in our child's room. It's not very soft so when we sleep on it we use a mattress topper. One word of caution: the fabric is a sort of weave which gives the color great texture, however, it holds pet hair making it very difficult to tend. For the most part we're really happy with it and think it's a great value.

Very Nice
Date: 09/03/2009
I ordered this for a small extra bedroom/reading room in a similar color that is no longer available. I love to lay on it and read. It looks very sleek and I love how if I have guests over it becomes a larger bed! It is very lightweight and was easy for the delivery guys to take it up to the 3rd floor of my condo. It is a stiffer foam daybed, but it has broken in nicely and I like that it is somewhat stiff because that means the foam won't break down easily. The bolster pillow is also stiff, more for decoration, not something I would rest my head on for a nap.

Guests love it!
Date: 09/03/2009
We purchased this daybed to use in our living room and as a bed for guests. It's easier and more comfortable than a pull out couch, and it also looks terrific in our living room. The bed is firm, so when we have guests, we put a foam egg crate layer and a mattress pad on it. Our guests love it!

Wonderfully versatile piece!
Date: 09/03/2009
I love the Lubi. It is the single most versatile piece of furniture I own. I have it in the khaki color - and the color is just as versatile and stylish as the design. I have used the Lubi in my office, as a guest bed, as extra seating at parties and events and for reading and naps. It is neutral without being the slightest bit boring and extremely comfortable.

We've had this daybed in one of our guest rooms for over two years. Since our room is small, it's very practical.
Overall, it's been a great find. We love the look of the item especially w/ the head rest pillow. It's sleek and clean in design.
The fact that it doubles as a bigger bed that would sleep two adds to the versatility of this product.
One caveat is that the bottom portion of the bed is thinner than the top one which makes for an uneven bed when they are side by side.

Practical/Stylish
Date: 09/03/2009
I bought this daybed for our game room/guest room...it's a place where my kids place video games but also needs to serve as a place for their friends to sleep over. It is very compact and neat, yet folds out easily into a double bed. Even the kids can set it up!

love it, mostly
Date: 09/03/2009
This is a great piece of furniture--it's very durable, and after 2+ years of use doesn't show any wear or sagging. It's also very comfortable, and its great low profile works pretty much anywhere (it fits under two long windows without blocking the view.
The only complaints I have are that the levels are slightly different heights, making it somewhat awkward as a "queen" bed. And, while the top cushion is pretty firm, it's much softer than the bottom platform. Usually, we just use it as a platform for an aerobed. Also, the bolster is not very functional (as would be the arm of a couch) unless it's supported by something else; it tries to roll away and puts a lot of stress on the stitching that holds it in place. We've pushed ours against a wall to avoid this.

Nice for small spaces
Date: 08/01/2009
We have a very small condo and it fits perfectly. We are going to use it as a bed or our toddler and it's a great size. Two adults can sleep on it very comfortably. The only thing is that it is a bit hard so if you don't like very hard beds it may not be ideal. The color is great and looks very nice.

Looks Great
Date: 07/28/2009
I'm very happy with the Lubi daybed. It looks great in my guest room.
My daughter's friends use it all the time. Because it is a little bit too firm for sleeping we put a matress cover and a comforter on top.
It is little bit of work, but it is worth it.

good thing in small package
Date: 07/07/2009
I am not a fan of futons and could not afford a high quality sleeper couch; this day bed was a great compromise. It is comfortable as both a couch for my library where I lounge and read and as a twin bed for guests. As noted by others it is firm, which for me puts it head and shoulders above futons (and most pull out sleepers).

We love it
Date: 06/23/2009
In our small office, we needed a place to sitthat converted to a bed for 2--this fits the bill perfectly! The daybed is just the right size without taking up tons of room and is so attractive--I love the simple lines and the tweed fabric. It is a firm mattress, but works well with a good mattress pad.

Good Flex Furniture but VERY Hard Bed
Date: 06/22/2009
The lubi daybed is a good fit for my open floor plan since it keeps my space open but provides the seating I needed with the occasional guest bed. The fabric is a dark brown with hints of black and has a woven texture. The cushion is very firm and I'm hoping it breaks in with time since I can't imagine any of my guests will enjoy sleeping on it as it is now unless they like very, very firm beds.
I mistakenly thought that the top folds over to make the bed, but in reality, the whole top lifts off (this is explained in the description but it didn't sink in until it arrived in my living room). I was concerned that this might allow the top cushion to shift while people sat on it but it hasn't been an issue so far. I have yet to test how well the two pieces stay together on the floor when two people are sleeping on it though.

Great daybed...
Date: 05/17/2009
The Lubi daybed is what I was looking for in my guest bedroom. The texture of the fabric and the color (mocha) fit into the style of the room. Also, I love that it is a bed, not a sofa daybed.
The only thing I did not know and wish had been stated, is that the bed is quite firm. Fine for sitting on, but to sleep on it takes getting used to the firmness.
Overall a great daybed/bed!
