Fantastic Product...Way Easy to Put Together

I'll admit, I was a little apprehensive about this after reading some of the reviews regarding scratching during assembly...I am happy to report absolutely no issues. Went together flawlessly. It is a fantastic addition to my design studio. I would recommend it to anyone. As to the color? It is definitely more red than orange (especially when put against my true orange CB2 chair)...BUT, i still love it.

A Poor Value for the Price

While the unique, bright color and retro design of this product are beautiful, it is cheaply made and the paint chips even if you are being as careful as possible. The rollers on the sliding doors are flimsy and you can't reach around to snap the final one into the track unless you cut the back out of the credenza, which we had to do because it wasn't deep enough to house a stereo otherwise. Overall, I am disappointed. I expected more from CB2. Compared to their other products, this does not seem like a good value.

Great cabinet in a great color. Would be better with some rear ventilation for electronics and cable access also for the top shelves. I ended up drilling my own upper shelf cable access.

Great, but beware design flaw

Beautiful color, finish and quality - but there's a problem with the middle panel "fitting" right - it is 1/4" too long, causing the doors to "rub" when opening. This was true for both the units we bought. The 2nd one my husband was aware and cut the middle panel, so this one works perfectly. We may in time, take the other one apart and fix it, but it took a long time to put the two together, haven't been motivated to have to take it apart again!

I agree with most of the reviews on here: it's a really cool looking piece, the color is more orange than red, which I prefer, but it is a little too easy to scratch for my taste. Still, I think it's worth it, and if you're careful with it after reading these reviews you can probably avoid the scratches.

Like anything with lacquer, this credenza scratches rather easily. Have to be careful with keys, coins and moving items across the surface. I was sliding a lamp to one side of it and didn't notice until later that I had scratched the credenza in the process. It is, however, beautiful and shiny and catches the light well.

I'm so in love with this piece that I named it Maxine after my doorman Max, who helped me put it together. The lobster red is more of an orange then a red, and it's very shiny and sleek. The storage room is fine for my needs, however I wish the cable/cord holes in the back were slightly bigger to fit more. Also, the wheel locks on one of the sliding doors is finicky so the door has come out of the grove before.

This item is very sleek looking, however, it doesn't have much depth for storage. We received one faulty product but it was replaced with a good one. Overall it looks great in our dining room.

Purchased as media center for my living room - the lobster red anchors the room and ties together in a warm and bright way. There is enough room for all the gear and holes are provided for cable routing. It is easy to clean and the finish has been durable. Check the interior depth if your intended use is for AV equipment - my multi-disc CD player would not fit. It arrived with a broken door, damaged during shipping. The service I received for replacement was first-rate. An excellent purchase at a fair price.

I have had my lobster credenza for several months and I absolutely love it. The color is a fantastic almost red kinda orange and the shiny finishes just pops. The doors slide very nicely and seems very well made (once you put it together!).

This piece added color and much needed storage to my kitchen. I love that you can adjust the shelf height to make room for whatever you want.

We bought this credenza last summer. I loved it until almost every one of the rollers on the doors started to break or fall apart. This is with only occasional use. I have requested replacements to no avail. I still love the look of the cabinet! But quality is lacking.

It's Orange, Not Red

This is an absolutely beautiful credenza and looks phenomenal in my apartment. It's pushed up against an olive-y green wall and the color combo of the orange credenza against that wall is super fresh. Don't let the CB2 description fool you, this is NOT lobster red. It's straight up orange. Orange with a lot of red in it, but still orange. I still love the thing, it's shiny and modern and exactly what I wanted to fill that particular space in my home. Just know that if you buy this, do not expect it to be red. Still highly recommended, a really nice piece.

I purchased this credenza to replace a dresser in my bedroom. Adjustable shelves make it easy to accommodate most anything. The color is not a true red, more of an orange hue. Someone said it chipped easily, it does.

Overall, I really like this product. It looks great and we always hear a lot of compliments about it when people see it. My one complaint would be that it chips very easily. One side of it is chipped a little on the end, resulting in white color showing through, because it had been pushed up against a wall.

Replaced a "built-in"

I have a large living room with one wall that measures 20' wide by 11' high. Originally, I was going to have a custom built cabinet run the entire length of this wall. I decided to purchase 4 halogen credenzas in lobster to replace the built-in. They were easy to assemble and look great. One thing I noticed was that some of the doors slide very easily and some are tight. I sprayed the tracks with some silicone lubricant and they all slide perfectly now. My friends love the look of my "custom built in cabinets" and I saved a lot of time and money. Now I'm a CB2 loyal customer.

The credenza is exactly what I expected...nice, clean, beautiful looking. However, I wish the color would be a bit more of a deeper red; to me, the losbter red looks more like "orange red". Love all the shelves...all my larger dishes (platter, serving plate/bowl, etc.) fit perfectly.

Almost too beautiful to be a TV stand

The color is my absolute favorite. And the lacquer finish just makes it all the more glamorous. You definitely need 2 people to put it together. The pieces are quite heavy. While putting it together, I had trouble with the middle vertical leaf - the holes on the top and bottom were not aligned properly - so I ended up just putting it in without any screws to secure it (I didn't want to go through the hassle of packing it up again and returning it for a new one). I don't intend on moving the credenza around, so it works for what I need. It's absolutely beautiful and perfectly compliments the lobster Hancock Bookcases I purchased.
