indie wardrobe

Now and zen. East meets urban west side storage story. Two tall armoire doors showcase the dramatic grain of dark stained tropical mindi wood veneer. Spare Asian metal pulls meet in the middle, raw and delustered. World of organization inside: two adjustable/removable shelves, one fixed shelf and two cubbies store clothes, linens, dinnerware, books, depending on where you park it. •Top is mindi wood veneer over wood composite •Solid mindi apron and mindi-veneered legs •Two adjustable shelves plus one fixed shelf and two cubbies •Rich, mid-tone stain with clear lacquer finish •Matte metal door pulls •Clean with soft, dry cloth

Good wardrobe for storage for an excellent price
Date: 07/15/2009
The wardrobe is really good and the color is in between cherry and chocolate. The door handles look awesome. It is a nice wardrobe for extra storage space. I use it to store sheets, pillows and towels. It is a nice addition to my apartment. Totally worth the price and more. The quality for the price is really good.
Cons: Assemble was a little difficult. Need 2 people to assemble. Aligning the doors was a pain (though the instructions were amazing)

Great value, great style
Date: 07/09/2009
This is a lovely cabinet -- I've been looking for something this size for my guest room for about 6 years. Everything else was a little too big or too small -- this was juuuuuuuust right. And at a great price, too! Assembly was fairly simple, with 2 people it took just under an hour. No missing or damaged pieces. Only thing is it's a bit tricky to get the doors to line up perfectly, but with a few hinge adjustments you'll get there. Definitely recommend!!!

Nice.
Date: 07/03/2009
This item is a great piece. The assembly I thought was easy to follow, as long as you take your time, don't rush, and lay out each piece so you have a clear selection of what the directions describe. I agree that the doors were a little tough to line up, but once you start tweaking the placement screws on the hinges, you figure out how to adjust the fitting. It's a heavy piece and looks great. I just moved into a loft space, so it's perfect to hold linens and such. I wish the piece was available in-store when I checked, so I didn't need to pay shipping charges. However, once it was delivered, it was extremely heavy in the boxes, so it worked out for the best to have it shipped.

perfect furniture for living room
Date: 06/18/2009
I ordered this wardrobe for my living room because my condo is small and I need extra storage for blankets, pillows, and some kitchen gadgets even. The two boxes arrived soon after purchasing online. At first I thought, great, a full day of putting this together. I spread all the pieces out on the floor, had a movie playing in the background, and got to work. Before I knew it, the wardrobe was piecing together easily. It would be hard to mess this one up. I was taking my time and doing it by myself. The hardest part for me was the doors because if someone had been here they could hold the door in place while I screwed the hinge on. Still, not a big deal. Love this wardrobe and I still have plenty of room left to store more items.

Very Zen
Date: 06/12/2009
I love this piece, I put it in my bedroom and the only thing is that it is more of a cherry wood then pictured. Still love it. The two cubbies are on the bottom and the two adjustable shelves are the upper two.

Well Worth It!
Date: 05/08/2009
This is one of my first "adult" furniture pieces. I agree with the review below that you only need one savvy person to assemble the wardrobe. When I saw it positioned in my bedroom, I couldnt be happier with the outcome. For storage on the inside, I bought some cheap Itso bins from Target to not have my clothes lie around un arranged. It's perfect, smooth, and really beautiful.

Ommmmmmm
Date: 05/02/2009
When I read the description of this wardrobe, I thought I could use some zen in my life, plus the size, versatility and storage capacity met my criteria, so I ordered it. Now, the direction specify two adults should assemble the piece, so that's what you should do, but I did it alone. I am writing this only to emphasize the ease of assembly. I am 5 ft. tall, have little upper body strength, and, as my father would have said, I am a "girl" and not mechanically inclined. Even so, I managed to assemble the piece easily. The doors still could be aligned a little better, but I'm probably the only one who would notice, and I am saving that for another day. The dark stain and clean lines complement my lobster and peel CB2 furniture. I highly recommend this piece for its beauty, sturdiness, and versatility. It has helped me reduce the clutter in my life, and I already feel more zen.

really like this wardrobe
Date: 04/29/2009
This was pretty easy to assemble. The hardest part was trying to get the doors to align, and the instructions didn't make a lot in sense regarding the alignment. It was trial and error, but it all worked out.
I used this to keep a TV and drilled a small hole out the back for the cords. So far it works great.

Amazed at the quality...
Date: 04/25/2009
My husband picked this piece up @ the store and I only saw it online. By the time I got home - he had the whole thing put together and I was amazed at the quality... especially for the price. It's a beautiful piece of furniture that I'm sure we'll have for a long time. My husband was also really happy that it was easy to put together!

Excellent decision
Date: 03/26/2009
This piece looks fantastic and was very easy to assemble. It definitely completes the room and adds that little Asian flare to it. The hardest part was to line up the doors and it took less than 2 minutes. I would recommend this to anyone.

Dreamy
Date: 03/21/2009
I bought both the indie bed and wardrobe and they transformed my bedroom. The wardrobe looks amazing and offers great storage space. No more piles of clothing hanging around. All tucks neatly away. Great for bath and bed linens. I feel like I am away at a retreat whenever I am in my bedroom. Super dreamy. My husband and I both love it.

Think outside the box
Date: 03/19/2009
Take the Indie Wardrobe out of the home and use them in the office. Indie Wardrobes give a rich sophisticated look to the studio office setting. Use one to hold art supplies, another for office supplies and hide clutter in another. Indie Wardrobes make a Zen statement in a room that can too often become chaotic.
