bauhaus arc floor lamp
wow house. Arc de triomphe in top to bottom all metal, all olivine. Pedestal iron base rises off-center, then swoops to high light over seating, bed, dining. Shade is a major surprise in smooth aluminum; exposed butterfly nut (olivine of course) pivots shade to direct the beam. On/off foot switch. -Steel base arcs in glossy olivine -Aluminum shade pivots -150W max. -Accommodates compact fluorescent lightbulb (not included) -UL listed

Lovely foot switch (although looks cheap..)
But, The weight of the shade seems to bend the arc. Maybe I over tighten, or didn't tighten enough. Either way expect a bit of bad posture from your lamp. Bearly noticeable... but still, I can see it.

I bougth this lamp in White and it looks amazing, Very nice Lamp , heavy and sturdy and has a sleek design. Adds great ligth and design to any room.
I would have given 5 stars if the switch would have come with dimmer .

My biggest concern about this purchase was that it match my leather chaise. Happily, it does. I agree with the previous post that it doesn't balance on the carpet very well, in spite of the fact that the base is heavy. Also arrived with a small ding on the base. The light is pretty bright, I need to get a different light bulb. It adds to my living room and I love it!

I purchased this lamp for living room. The lamp meets expectations, it's sturdy, the green color is bright and beautiful. the lamp is heavy and won't tip over. Agreed with other reviews that it's lower than expected. I initially wanted to place it next to my desk but it was too low to be practical. I ended up placing it behind my white sofa for extra reading light and it works really well together.

This is the coolest lamp I have ever had the pleasure of owning. It has such a wonderful presence with it's grand size and incredible olivine color. I love the fact that you can walk under the arc and that the color really plays off of the houseplants nearby. I have it next to and hanging directly over the middle of our large pedestal dining room table and it has perfect clearance for maneuvering around it. It is a quality lamp that is just funky enough to stand out a bit, but graceful enough to blend into many types of decor.

The quality is totally ok, I love the color, and the shape is fun - but the lamp comes a bit lower than expected. If you are tall, you might bang your head on it! Depends where you want to put it: great over a low sofa... not so great, probably, in the middle of a room or over a high bar/dinner table!

Neat retro lamp with metal shade. Can't install a 'touch switch' due to how it's made, but is better than other I've seen that cost more.

In my tiny living room, this lamp serves both as general lighting in a dark corner and a reading lamp. It offers the feel of a mid-20th century modern piece with the update of the fresh 'olivine' color--a deep green/yellow. Because I use it as a reading lamp, I inserted a piece of acrylic that rests inside the lower lip and serves as a diffuser. The base is appropriately weighted--you would be hard-pressed to tip over this lamp. However, you will need two people to assemble it appropriately. I have enjoyed this lamp for two years now, and it is still one of my favorite piecesl

I am a preppy gal at heart but juxtaposition is the heart of design and this lamp in this color is too excellent not to buy. I have two in the Great Room with family portraits and chintz and they make me happy whenever I look at them. Any room is enhanced by great style at a great price.

I'm not a materialistic person, nor am I big into lavishing praise on products unless they fulfill my desires for thrift, great design and some element of quirkiness that sets the item apart. This lamp supersedes all these requirements. It's GREEN, which is lovely (and a chartreuse-like tone, BONUS!), it's the perfect height for over a sofa, which is where I have it, and it's well-made and sturdy and totally worth the price. It's a great reading light, and also adds architectural interest to my 1941 bungalow. Everyone who ever comes over (and I love to have visitors) always comments on the lamp. It's a crowd pleaser and a piece I'll keep for years.

Great Pop of Color!

I bought this lamp for a semi-modern/semi-traditional living room. It is a wonderful pop of color and works great positioned over the sectional sofa. The only little complaint I have is that each time I turn it off and on I have to walk around behind the sofa because it has a push power button that lies within the cord on the floor. I wish it had a switch somewhere closer to the light source.

Bought the bauhaus arc floor lamp in olivine for my bedroom and absolutely love it! The colour is better than I expected and really stands out which makes the lamp the focal point of the room. I was a bit apprehensive about the weight of the lamp as the other reviews said that it tends to tip but I haven't experienced that. Definitely recommend!

The lamp is exactly what I was looking for. The color is a cool wasabi green that really stands out in our living room. Two people are definitely needed to put it together, but it's a breeze. For a very reasonable price, you get a great quality lamp!
