Unique find at a great price
Date:05/11/2009
I really like this lamp for a number of reasons 1) I have already gotten numerous compliments, 2) I find it difficult to purchase well-priced brushed nickel items for my home (not sure why but nickel always seems to be either sparse or expensive) 3) the soft light put out is flattering and fills my livingroom with enough light to read by yet is not harsh at all 4) the overall style of the lamp can be modern or contemporary or a little of both which is what I am going for in my new house, it works in my space beautifully!

Another Yes Vote...
Date:03/21/2009
Stylistically accurate and versatile as a modern or period piece, with better than average quality and finish for the price, especially when comparing today's options for similar fixtures. Assembly was straightforward...took about 10 minutes.

loft-appropriate
Date:03/19/2009
I purchased this fixture for a condo sales model unit (loft), and it fit with the overall space and aesthetic quite well. The glass diffuser puts out light with a terrific soft glow. While the post and legs/feet are fairly slim, the piece overall feels sturdy, which I didn't necessarily expect. Pleasant surprise. My only negative comment is that I wish the fixture were a bit taller - a minor point, I think.

Fantastic Light
Date:03/19/2009
I bough this lamp for our living room. I love it! The switch is a large button that you turn on/off with your foot...so cool. It's easy to assemble, if I can do it so can you! It gives off the perfect level of light.

Great for the Golden Hollywood Fan
Date:12/21/2008
I love the lamp and glad that I purchased it. It makes reading my Nursing books more glam as I study in bed. When not studying it is just so nice.
It goes with all my glam/film strip designs in my room.
Added bonus is has a nice easy to find buttong to shut it off and something to hang up the very long cord.
Also I had no problem putting it together or having it stay up. I suggest getting at least two.

Form, function and fun
Date:11/28/2008
I've had this lamp for several months and am very pleased with it. Was redecorating my family room and wanting to create a more industrial look, and this was perfect. An interesting, unexpected, and fun piece. Placed it next to the couch where it provides excellent light for reading. Easily adjusts to put light in other directions, too. Light weight but surprisingly sturdy. Have gotten many compliments from guests.

Loft Looks for Less Lofty Budget
Date:11/25/2008
Bought this lamp last year to give an "edgier" look to my somewhat weathered traditional Crate & Barrel Sofa. It certainly made the room POP!
Not as large as some of the more expensive Photography Spotlights out there, but perfect for my modest studio space. It seems at first to be a bit flimsy, but in my out-of-the-way corner next to my couch it has stood quite sturdily for the past year and has been a pleasure to read or chat by.
If you are seeking a more "artsy" industrial feel to your living space, this will instantly do the trick. Highly recommended, as are many of CB2's clever and affordable designs.

Looks Great, Doesnt Adjust
Date:11/20/2008
I was very excited when I received this lamp and it looks absolutely amazing and high quality for the price. However, after putting it together I realized that it does not adjust, So i have to keep it low and can not adjust it to its fullest position or it slides right back down in to place. Very disappointed as I ordered it online and had no way of taking the time to get a replacement etc. So I am very disappointed that I cant use my light to its fullest.

Nice Lamp
Date:11/19/2008
This is a really groovy lamp that is nicely adjustable and very unique. The light can be focused in just about any direction. The adjustable height helps it fit stylishly into many areas.

Pretend you are a great photographer with this living room lamp. It casts great shadows across the room. Only hesitation with the lamp was that the assembly instructions were slightly unclear, which made putting it together difficult. My husband had to add his own creative engineering to get it to stand tall--but this might have just been our particular lamp.

Cute Lamp
Date:11/17/2008
This is a very nice lamp. It is light and well-done. I have it in my guess room usually used by my young nephews and nieces and they love it. The switch on the floor is an asset, and the cord is almost unnoticeable.

nicely designed lamp
Date:11/14/2008
There are several photography floor types of lamps being offered by CB2 competitors. However, the CB2 one is really nicely designed and styled, nice finish, nice size, surprisingly light, and nice price. I like the floor on/off switch too. Lots of people have taken a second look at the lamp. It's also a great prop. The only problem I have is that the legs are a little unsteady times. Overall, nice product.

unique floor lighting
Date:11/14/2008
purchased this because it is not the expected look in a floor lamp. adds great ambient lighting to a room, especially when bouncing off a wall or ceiling.
materials could be a little more substantial though and I wish the lamp had a dimmer switch.
overall, a good purchase for the money.

Wesome Lamp
Date:11/12/2008
This lamp looks great, the light from it strong but soft, and the adjustability is great. The design is very interesting, but blends in well. Putting it together was a bit complicated, but well worth it.

Alternative to desk lamp
Date:11/12/2008
We needed light at our desks but did not want the clutter of a desk light. These worked out well as they can be placed between 2 desks and pointed up to fill, or angled at each table top. They look nice and keep with our industrial space design.
Voltage recommendation is low - we used higher.
