metropolis wall clock
The big time. What's a great big clock like this doing keeping time with a teeny little battery like that? B/W big ben marks the hour in Hollywood-set proportions visible a mile away, well almost.

The hanger is not flush with the wall, making standard hooks unusable - I put 4 different holes in my wall, and bought 7 different types of hooks. After scratching up my wall trying to get the hanger to meet with the various hooks (and nearly dropping the extremely HEAVY clock), the only hook that I found to work makes the clock stick out from the wall on the top.

I love the look of this clock. I wanted black and white accents in a home gym that we painted bright green and it looks fabulous there. My only complaint is that the hands are slightly off from where they should be, not to the point of not being able to tell time, but off, nonetheless. It might bother me more if the clock was in a main living area, but since it is in my home gym, I'm fine with it.

A great accessory overall, definitely adds a fun touch to any room. However, it was difficult to hang...the hook is recessed a bit so I needed a hanger that stuck out really far from my wall. Took 2 trips to hardware store, one broken hook, and one unappealing (but easily hidden) hole in my sheetrock....but totally worth it:)

Big Impact

This clock looks awesome hanging on the wall - it really makes a statement. We have gotten many compliments on it. Yes, it's a bit heavy, but we hung it up using one of those "Hercules hooks" extended by a fishhook and it works great with only a small hole in the wall. Recommended for anyone who wants to add flair to their home.

Eye catching, decorative clock

When we moved into our new house 2 years ago, which has a modern feel and an open kitchen and family room with high ceilings, we found that we needed some larger than usual accessories to fill open spaces and compliment the open modern feel of the house. This clock was a perfect fit. We love how easy it is to peek over and see the time, and we get tons of compliments on how cool it looks. My only complaint about this clock is that the hands are very slightly off (for example, when it is exactly 2:00, the small hand is not pointing exactly at the 2, it is very slightly below the 2). Most people don't notice it, but it does bother my husband. On the whole, we love the look, thought the price was fair and are very happy with the clock.

BIG, Elegant Clock

This clock is BIG! It looks great and pretty sturdy. Clock with some weight to it. I'm using a 75-lb drywall anchor and two (2) nails to make sure this thing doesn't fall. I wish the hanging slot on the back of the clock was more flush with the back. I had to extend the screw out from the wall quite a bit in order to get it to catch on the hanging slot.

The best purchase I could ever get. My Dad lives with us. He has macular degeneration. The Metropolis Wall Clock is the largest Clock I have ever seen. Dad can see the time now, looks great on the wall, fastest delivery too!

Great clock, looks great on our wall. However, it is a loud second hand clicker! It's starting to drive me nuts because I can hear it when I'm trying to relax!

cool modern style, large size. works perfect in my living room. i live in a loft with high ceilings so this type of clock is exactly what i was looking for. the large numbers can be viewed from far away.

An Unintentional Conversation Piece

I love this clock. It is bigger than I thought it would be, but it is so lightweight. It was easy to hang, and it is definitely a major piece in the room. It is also battery operated, which adds to it's sleek design, since there are no cords coming out of it.

Absolutely love this clock. What a bold statement it makes in my office above my graph desk. Must admit that the hour hand does not quite line up but it is not that bad.

Hour/Min hands do not line up

I bought this gift as a present for my sister. I noticed that the time was not easily read. So I tested the clock by putting the clock hands to midnight. Both hands do not line up. The hour hand is between 11 and 12 midnight when the minute hand is on the 12. In other words, it is difficult to determine the time sometimes as the hour hand is off. I called CB2 and they sent me a replacement, however, the replacement did the same thing. I feel this is just how the clock is made. A very odd concept to not have the hour and minute hand line up on the 12 at midnight.

Clock is a powerful statement to my apartment! The modern, industrial type clock really gets a lot of attention to everyone that walks in my apartment!
Takes up a huge amount of space, but in an elegant, bold way .. Definitely would recommend this to anyone wanting a great addition to a home!
