Looks like a piece of HVAC equipment

Was very excited to get this and use it in our busy kitchen, but when it arrived, it was bent out in the middle (we had to flatten it for a few days under heavy books), and the grating looks really unattractive to me.
To be honest, it looks like a piece of HVAC grating or something similar - somehow the previews online make it look brighter, shinier and lighter...in real life it's darker and dingier looking.
The strong peg magnets that CB2 sells don't seem to stick strongly to the metal grating on this board, which makes me wonder if any magnets will hold up bigger pieces on it.
I'm going to go analyze the black boards CB2 sells to see if they will suit me better.

Smart design. I love how I can use tacks for heavier items (like necklaces or rings) or magnets for sketches and photos in which I don't want holes. Easy to hang up and the magnetic sides make them hang straight together in whatever configuration you choose.

I bought 4 of these boards and am using them for photos that I used to have on the refrigerator. The photos are in magnetized holders and not very heavy, and it seems like these boards are going to work out fine.

i got the black tack board and i'm very satisfied with it. it goes well with my mostly black and white decorated studio. i love that you can use a magnet for photos and other stuff you wouldn't want any pinholes on.

I bought 8 of these boards for my office and made them form a square. I use them to display my work. (I'm a designer). I absolutely love the look of them, and I like the texture. However, the magnets that come with them actually remove ink from paper. A lot of my work is ruined now and ripped where these magnets have been.

I love the fact that this board can use magnets for photos you don't want to put a hole in or pins for something that you just need reminded on. This will come in great use for us. Looks great with the Trig Office. Items was well packaged and shipped fast.

I have used these tack boards now for 3 years at work and when I re-did my studio at home I had to have them. I bought the silver ones and they look and work fantastic. They add a touch of sophistication with all the practicality of what they are to be used for: sticking stuff up. Design can equal function!

i recently bought a 683 sq. ft. loft downtown nashville. my new projects this year have been minimizing in a modern art-deco style. CB2 has inexpensively let me make this transition with accessories like the tactile message board with mini frame magnets and funky little push pins!!! i also have purchased throws, dinnerware, and shelving. my loft is most chic in my whole building because of CB2! thanks guys

This is a great product that is both sleek and practical. I have it mounted near my front door so I can keep all my lists, notes, and coupons at hand as I leave. The tack function works better than the magnets, however. So if you're looking for a strong magnet board, this is not for you. If you are looking for a more stylish corkboard but with the option to hold light objects magnetically, this product is for you.

I bought this product for my 13 yr. old son who loves to put pictures and anything that he can acquire over time on display. I had thought about getting a cork board, but I wanted something a little more sleek and "grown up". This was PERFECT!! He fell in love with it and I can tell it is very durable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone....great product!!!

I ordered a black one along with this silver one. I loved the look, and they work well as "bulletin boards". The silver one was slightly warped, and I was unable to hang it properly. I like the pins and magnets that come with the boards.

I bought a set (one of each color) as a gift for a friend who moves often because what works in one home may not in the next. She's over the moon with the Tacktile Message Board system - enjoying the ability to rearrange the color arrangement as she likes due to the magnetic connections stealthily placed on all four sides (very handy for hanging them flush against each other to give a cohesive, sleek look) and the fact that they're fabulous on their own as well which offers many more options.
They're super lightweight and can be used with either magnets or push pins... very smart design elements at work here.

I ordered both the grey and black board and love them. I use both together and keep them in the kitchen. They go great with stainless steel appliances and hold invitation, picture, list etc. Could go great in the office too, will most likely end up buying these for my office as well.

I ordered 2 and wish I had a wall full of these boards. They are attractive, useful, and never show the holes. I use magnets and thumbtacks to fix pix and notes to them.

I have two of these over my desk. They are easy to hang, look nice and function beautifully. I love having the choice of pushpins or magnets. Also, I'm pretty sure you could get accessories (like a pencil cup) that are intended for office cubicle panels and attach them to these... The only issue I have had is that the included magnets aren't as strong as I like, so I use those super mini magnets to hold up thicker card stocks and the like.
