I ordered this bowl to serve salad to 5 guests at a dinner party. I suppose I should have paid closer attention to the measurements, because it wouldn't even hold salad for 3. It's a nice bowl-- sturdy, modern, simple, elegant-- but the description as a "serving" bowl is far reaching. I'm keeping it and I'm sure I'll find a use for it, but unfortunately I had to run out and buy a larger bowl for my party.

It's an awesome bowl, but very heavy. I would be more apt to use it for decor or perhaps a buffet style dinner as it is heavy to pass to diner guests.

I love these bowls, the large one is great for pastas, I've also used them for casseroles and made deep dish apple pie. Highly recommend...

I have bought all the items from this "set", and they are all great. They are very simple and simply useful. All I needed- affordable, simple, come in variety of sizes- you can mix and match to create your serving set! I highly recommend those products!

I also wanted something slightly smaller to serve side dishes at my dinner table, as opposed to the huge party size serve ware I haul out for large groups. This is just the perfect size, and looks much nicer than a $7 bowl. Since they stack so nicely, I may pick up another.
Five curve servers fit around this bowl as well, though this is glazed and the curve pieces are matte. They still look super cool together!

Great Bowls nice modern style just what I was looking for ordered 2 to go with the dishes I ordered previously great products heavy weight and sturdy just what I wanted and cant beat the price Modern style items can be expensive but not at CB2 Highly recommend the bowls as well as the matching dishes

love this bowl! i bought it just to hold & display some bright green apples on my kitchen table & in fact, it does just that. but i have big plans for this bowl. i can't wait to try it in the oven. as opposed to some of my other huge, oval serving dishes which are great for filling & bringing along to potlucks or events, this is the perfect size just for my family. i couldn't be happier with it, if you're considering it, i would definitely say go for it. 1) it's attractive, 2) it's microwave, dishwasher, & oven safe, & 3) it's extremely affordable!

This low bowl is great for serving or decoration. At one dinner party, I filled it with ice and set a pitcher of smoothies on top to keep it cool, which worked well. The white porcelain is sturdy and looks great with everything.

I bought three of these bowls in anticipation for a housewarming party. They were perfect! And so versatile. I used one bowl for chips, one for fruit, and another for salad. They make for simple and elegant presentation.

I use mine to serve because I love the simplicity of the bowl but I also fill mine with water and float some candles in it to make a great center piece I can see over and enjoy my dinner guests.

I bought this as a wedding gift for myself and it's the most used bowl/vessel in the kitchen!
When it's not filled with fruit or used to serve veggies, desserts and entrees it's a great decorative piece! I've filled it with glass bubbles and set it on the coffee table.

As a designer, form and function are very important to me. While I was putting together my collection of "fabulous" serveware from CB2, I came across this serving bowl. First things first, can't walk away from this price!!! I bought extra with a clear conscience, just in case I broke a couple (hey, it happens). They're stackable- which is great for storage if you have limited space-, porcelin - which means you can use them in the microwave, oven and dishwasher-, and the crisp white color makes them fresh and timeless. As a bonus, the serving capacity is great too!
