I was apprehensive at first about purchasing this product because it seemed like an unnecessary expense for a rug: $25 for something you will never see, come on! However, now that I have had it and the rug for over a year, I can honestly say that it has been beneficial to the life-span of the rug. It cushions and holds the rug in place. There are no "sink spots" on the rug or places that have been matted down from wear and tear. I haven't had any problems with staining on my tile floor and it was relatively easy to "install."

Ordered along with a rug--convenient--and could not live without it. Despite an active dog running around, the rug stays perfectly in place.

This product really is all it claims to be. I bought one, and will likely buy more for other rugs I want to protect.
