staple-free stapler

binding paradox. A stapler without any staples. Stitching together up to five sheets of paper, this clearly clever bauble conceals the secret to recycling-friendly, finger-safe fastening. -Never needs refilling -Cuts out tiny strips of paper to stitch up to five pieces of paper together -Environmentally friendly -Safe for children -Plastic outer shell; metal mechanism inside

Very Eco-chic
Date: 09/09/2009
Love the idea, however the pages do not hold together very well. After using this staple-free stapler, the pages fall apart very easily.
This would definitely work if you only intend to staple 2 pieces of paper together, and don't plan on moving it around often. I'm sure it would stay put. And, I highly DO NOT recommend using this staple-free concept on your papers you need to turn in for school. Your work would definitely get separated and lost!!!

Great when you shred a lot!
Date: 09/08/2009
Its not as strong as a staple but it works well. It doesn't leave as big of a lump as a staple does so when you file a lot of stapled paperwork, you won't have that bulge in the upper left hand corner like with staples.
I would probably not use it if you need to separate pages to run them through a copier.
Very eco-friendly. Handy!

For the ecologically minded
Date: 08/17/2009
Great office tool, though like one previous reviewer said, needs to be stapled twice in order to bind the sheets together firmly. I found that stapling the short side of the same corner did the trick and kept the pages together. Truth be told, if one wanted to be "green," this stapler would not be necessary, since no paper would be generated. Though for us paper-dependent folk, $6.95 is a deal, and the stapler itself is a marvel of construction.

Not Bad
Date: 06/23/2009
Doesn't hold paper together to good with one stapling but, if you do it twice, maybe an inch apart it hold together amazingly well. I would say it holds paper together 3-4 times better than with one stapling. I'm amazed at how it stiches sheets of paper together with just one action on your part, still can't figure it out... but it works.

Buy Extras!
Date: 04/19/2009
I love it. My co-workers liked it so much I had to buy extras so that mine stays on my desk! It saves a bunch of time when recycling and shredding because I don't have to remove staples anymore.

Omg Fabulous!
Date: 03/25/2009
I love LOVE this little guy. I keep mine in my front room drawer and use it everyday! It's so simple, easy, and fabulous. Not only do you feel great using it because it's eco-friendly, you never get hurt with staples, you never have to hunt for staples and your paper looks better with the cute design at the top. This is a great gift for yourself or the perfect ad on to a stationary gift for a friend. It's best for a few sheets of thin (regular computer) paper, but with some effort it will do a couple sheets of something thicker.

Cute but not functional

It's cute but not functional. It doesn't hold papers well but will still use just for its cuteness.

Mildly interesting stapler
Date: 11/12/2008
I bought this stapler because I was intrigued by the thought of stitched together paper. The device works, but the papers are not held together with anything approaching the strength of a real staple.

Up-scale Office
Date: 11/12/2008
The office has a distinctly modern feel. This adds to the whole ambience by "stapling" in a slick and visually up-scale way. ( And there are no staples to bend ! )

No staples needed!
Date: 11/12/2008
I don't regret this purchase even though it only handles five sheets of paper at a time. Honestly, I usually have to bind more than that at once, but this comes in handy for the small jobs. I wish they made one that could handle 20 sheets.

unique design
Date: 11/12/2008
this is great for someone who recycles paper - no need to remove the staples! unique design and easy to use. I wish it was possible to staple more sheets with it (more than 8).

Eh...
Date: 11/12/2008
Its a great idea and fun to use, but not practical at all. The paper does not stay together and it will only staple about 4 pages at a time. Not much more than a conversation piece.
