Even though the rug is beautiful, it is such a mess. There are fuzz balls throughout my entire house. Not to mention you cannot vacuum the rug, so every piece of lint, etc. has to be picked out by hand! Don't waste your money!

This shag rug has become a great feature of my living room. The shedding quickly tapers off leaving a comfortable, soft rug. If you are looking for a shag rug, this one is a solid value.

The best version of this style rug for the best price around. It makes my living room. Very little wooly odor that you find in similar rugs and the shedding that's typical for this style peters off after a month or so. I would buy it again-- but bigger!

This is a great looking and feeling rug, but if you plan on putting it in a high-traffic area, be prepared to be cleaning up fuzz balls all over your home. We've had the rug for 3 years now and it was only this last year when we moved it into our bedroom (low traffic) that it finally stopped shedding like crazy. It's a rug to be looked at, not to be walked on.

The rug is great, so far we've had it about a month and it always gets compliments. It does not shed too bad, it's very manageable. Thinking of purchasing another one for our bedroom.

I've had this rug for over a year. It's beautiful and we get lots of compliments on it. The shedding was manageable till we adopted a puppy and a dog. The rug is the center of their world. They chew, play, and sleep on it. The shedding is now out of control. I have to vacuum every other day to control the dark brown balls of wool that float around the hard wood floors. It makes me sad but it's going to be replaced with a similar rug that doesn't shed.

I bought the 8x10' to replace another shag rug that is in my living room. When we first got the rug, I loved it but then as days went on it started to shed all over our house (we have wood floors so it floated around everywhere). The worse part was that we couldn't even sit on the rug like we wanted to because it stuck to our clothes really bad. I was tracking the rug pieces everywhere (work, in my car, etc). If I had read these reviews first I wouldn't have purchased it. Fortunately, CB2 was very nice and agreed to let me return it for a refund. The rest of their products I've purchased have been great...

This is a very nice rug, and looks great, feels great on the feet. But with that said you will be picking rug fluff up all the time. If you have a bugged eyed dog (ex. boston terrier) make sure to check their eyes because the rug fluff will get in the eyes.

Great rug, be prepared to pick up fluff

This rug is a beautiful addition to any room. It's been in both our living room and bedroom and it always gets comments. Be prepared, however, for lots of little balls of thread throughout the house. Best to buy a rug rake so you can give it some wear quickly, and you'll want to vacuum it often. After about 2 years, ours finally doesn't shed all that much, though it's in a lower traffic area than we originally had it. All-in-all, however, my favorite rug in our house.

I am happy with this purchase. It looks great and was a great price. Most of all, I love walking barefoot on the soft wool pile! The one negative is that it does shed a lot, but I was warned of that when i bought it. It needs a gentle vacuum with a special attachment.

We fell in love with the look of this rug and bought it for our bedroom. Within a day had "tumbleweeds" of static-ey wool throughout our entire upstairs. Even after vacuuming several times, the fibers would attach to our shoes, clothes and even furniture! We ended up returning it and getting another wool rug from CB2, but with a much tighter pile, so the shedding was short-lived and much more manageable with regular vacuuming.

On the plus- it's really great looking and comfortable for an area with big pillows. I've been complimented on this rug many times by visitors, and wouldn't give it up for anything.
On the down- sheds like crazy and the long pile, while lush to look at, is hard to clean. Get a great vacuum cleaner.

we had just ordered this rug online, it looks fabulous on the pictures and room views. however, once we got it we realized that it wasnt the best quality, and the color wasnt the one we expected. we ordered ivory color, but the one we received is yellowish, not creamy or ivory. it doesnt match any of our decor so we have to return it. it sheds a lot, and just now I read that the sheding goes on for the life of the rug!!! we only had it on the floor for few hours to check it out, the whole floor was a mess after that. definitely returning this item.

We were expecting wider cords (strings) however the rug looks fantastic the way it is.
Everybody at home loves the rug, specially my dog who loves to roll over at the rug.
The price was the lowest we could find and believe me we made and extensive search looking for the best price.

I was searching for a white sh@g rug to complement my mid-century style forever and finally came across this rug on cb2.com. The price fit my budget and I am so happy I ordered this rug! It does shed - but I've grown to view it as my pet :) so it's okay! Every time I have people over it reconfirms my decision to purchase this rug - everyone loves it! I'm trying to keep it as spotless as possible (causing me to be a bit paranoid - no shoes or red wine near the carpet!) because I don't want to figure out how to clean it! I recommend this rug highly.

I purchased this rug in white color. I am so pleased with it. It looks really pretty. The quality is fine, it is so soft because it is made out of New Zealand wool. It goes so well in my living room area which brightens the whole room. I definitely will recommend this rug to all my friends and relatives. Despite of the quality of the rug, the price which I consider very reasonable.
